I remember Charles Barkley's comment during the Barcelona Olympics about playing against Angola:

"I don't know anything about Angola, but I know they're in trouble".

You know, swap out angola for any word in the english language not related to food, and the first part of that sentence still applies to old charlie

The Sixers could blow out Angola with ease, so I'm not too thrilled with a 21 point win over Angola...

So far... USA is handling Greece fairly easily. Up 20 late in the 3rd. This was one of the games some experts said we could lose.

Did anyone else see the Spanish team photo that's in the news? That's messed up.

It was an ad placed in a Spanish newspaper. The photo is of the men's basketball team stretching their faces to make themselves look Chinese. Jem is right that this is a case of the world being too PC but we do live in this world and someone should have said... "ummm, maybe we should take another photo with you guys just smiling". I think it's more of a funny story than one that agitates me. It's just messed up is all.

not really sadly, some T&F woman is doing a blog for her 'homies' (my word ;) ) back in small town minnesota and talked about how she met all these famous people during the opening ceremonies but the big surprise was the nba player who hit on her....that's the extent of it though, no names given, she's kind of an average looking white girl though, so maybe kobe thought he was in colorado?

Too soon?

Another blowout to send the Aussie's packing.  That kid Mills from Australia looks like he could be something.
