Oh, I thought they finally diagnosed that heart mind problem that prevented his growth as a basketball player.

AH well

Sixers cut the last scrub and go with 14 guys on the roster, including Jason Smith.  It would suck to be the one guy who is inactive if everyone else other than Smith is healthy.  Hopefully this means Speights on the active roster and getting playing time early.

I do feel like Speights is going to get a little time early on.  I just think the efficiency he brings off the bench with his scoring is too valuable to keep hidden behind the likes of Evans, Ratliff, and Marshall.  Speights gives our bench a nice balance on the offensive end between him, Lou, and Willie.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Marshall as the odd man out wearing a suit next to Smith to start the season.

I'd be shocked if speights isn't on the active roster.

I'll start calling for the heads of the people running the franchise if he's not active

For the Marcus Williams fans out there:

Option not picked up and hasn't played a minute yet for the W's.

Marcus seems unable to get his fat butt into good enough shape to collect an NBA paycheck.  Dude is seriously lacking in the self-motivation area.

Crawford for Harrington, seems to create a minutes crunch for GS.  I am guessing Craford may share point duties with Morrow/Ellis since neither is a true PG.  I expect a follow-up trade for GS to move a wing for a big.

Dabods - maybe we can re-title this thread as a player movement thread?

More importantly (just for me) is that I have both of these guys on my fantasy squads.  Should help Harrington (who was not playing) and likely will hurt Crawford.

Also, this is the first step in NY tring to free up $'s to get Lebron.  It hurt them that the bigger 3 way move with the Clips involving Z-Bo fell through.

GS has too many cooks in the kitchen - out to be fun - wish the sixers had advantage to take

No link, but others are claiming Zach Randolph to the Clips for Tim Thomas + others.  Kaman on the move next?

Supposition simply because there was a lot of Kaman talk earlier in the week and becasue the Clips refused to give Camby up for Randolph.  No other real reason, just stirring up some discussion.
