SAN ANTONIO (TICKER) -- The San Antonio Spurs on Sunday re-signed swingman Jeremy Richardson, who originally signed with the team on January 10.

Richardson, 23, has played in three games for the Spurs, averaging 1.7 points.

The 6-7, 195-pound Richardson was signed by the Memphis Grizzlies on December 20 but did not score a point in three games with Grizzlies before being waived on January 7.

Great....you use a Jan 20th signing to prove how stupid you really are.   Search for when he was released 10 days later.

It's 3 in San Antonio I think they would have announced it by now.

I like how you are calling Lurker out for having to go the traditional route to find news on players yet your inside source is a crappy website.

Your link is 3 weeks old and the player has since been released.  You refuted nothing.

All you did was prove again that you know very little about the team that you supposedly follow like Kobe chasing Colorado ski bunnies.

I don't want the name to your source cuz I really don't care.  I can wait to find out what  bench rider the Spurs signed from Europe.

Try this bit of news Reality...

Quote
February 1: FORT WAYNE
Re-acquired G Jeremy Richardson.

I found this tidbit on the NBDL official site.  And if you look under player stats you will see Richardson played last Thursday (2/7) for the Fort Wayne team.

Here is the link to the official NBDL site...

Artest is currently in the same boat as JR Rider was at the end of his career.  They guy still had game in him but all of his baggage makes him undesirable no matter what his game is.  It's beyond me that teams (other than the Knicks) would actually consider signing this cancer to their organization.  It's simply NOT worth it (as the Kings have found out).  I think that Denver feels like they need an upgrade to move forward -- I don't think that Artest is an upgrade for anyone.  It's subtraction by addition (what you get when you add him to your roster turns out to be a negative no matter how good it looks on paper).

As for the Kings, they ought to trade Artest for whatever they can get (a box of toilet paper is a worthy trade, IMO) and see if they can salvage some of the chemistry that they once had with their current players.  The problem with the Kings is that they are losing much more than games -- they are losing their fans -- and Artest is part of the problem.

Yeah, well, here is one Kings' fan who would rather see the team trade Mike Bibby and/or Kenny Thomas before getting rid of Artest. Ron's "baggage" has not interferred with the team chemistry you are so concerned with, while both Bibby and Thomas have not exactly fit in all that well this year. The guys who you would think would not like having an Artest influencing their future - Garcia, Douby, and Martin - all like Artest and prefer playing with him on the court. Some cancer. It would help if at least some of his teammates, coaches, or owners actually had any reason to dislike him, but apparently the only thing they can find wrong with him is that he is likely to opt out of his contract his summer and sign elsewhere. And if what seems to be the case League-wide, few teams might extend a contract to him, leaving Sacramento as an option even then.

And that would be fine with me as well. He has been on the verge of exploding - Artest style - a few times this year, but with his teammates help, has refrained from bloodshed, or whatever it is he does that pisses people off to the point of rampage.

Krishnas,

I know your twist about Richardson not being on the Spurs on Feb 7th has you wetting and groping each other, but the Spurs had previously signed Richardson Jan 20th to only a 10 day contract.  It was over by Feb 7th.

Quote
And what makes you think they would resign someone and immediately play him?
The fact that Richardson not only played but started the day after he signed that 10 day contract.

Reality...actually that was Richardson's SECOND 10 day contract.  He signed the first one on Jan 10th as is reported in your 3 week old link.  So he actually started in his ELEVENTH day with the Spurs and had played in 3 prior games.

And your new link lists Richardson's name for Sunday Feb 10th.  However the NBA does not report a signing on their website.  The official Spurs site does not report the signing nor list him on the roster.  So maybe, just maybe, your little website made a BIG error.  Hell, half the tech geeks (sorry guys) here could create an official looking site and list all kind of signings.  I will stick with the ones that are proven...like NBA.com which still hasn't reported a signing 4 days later.

Maybe you should check out the NBDL pages...

Link to Fort Wayne homepage: http://www.nba.com/dleague/fortwayne/index_main.html where this can be found: that Mad Ants forward Jeremy Richardson was named to the all star contest.

Link to Fort Wayne roster: http://www.nba.com/dleague/fortwayne/roster/ which looks like this:
Quote
Mad Ants Roster

  2007-08 Roster
NUM PLAYER POS HT WT   FROM
11 Earl Calloway  G  6-3 175  Indiana
32 Nate Gerwig  F  6-9 250  Kent State
19 Ron Howard  F  6-5 200  Valparaiso
15 Anthony Kyle  G  5-8 160  Miles
33 Corey Minnifield  F  6-8 210  No College

JoMaL..Sactown has got lucky.  Artest still is a cancer.  It just so happens that the Sactown Chemo is keeping him from growing and spreading.  How many organizations do you think could let TWO arrests, one including a domestic violence charge, not bother them?  Even Jersey had a bit of a problem and PR blitz when Kidd got popped for the same thing.  Surprisingly Artest got in trouble BEFORE Mike Vick got sentenced or else I bet it would have been blown up way more.

Reality...actually that was Richardson's SECOND
