Marbury available for low cost
« on: September 23, 2008, 02:58:01 PM »
Another NBA buyout.  ;)
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3604025
Heat allegedly interested.  Sure others will follow or agent spin will begin.

Contract know it alls, are there any limits on what he can be signed for?

After he clears waivers: vet minimum, remaining exception amounts or available cap space.

The voices in my head...wait.

Insiders tell me that Stoudemire is a better fit.

Well your insiders sources tell you lots of things.  ::)

I'm talking Championships here.  Marbury.  Do it.  All this b.s. about **chemistry**.  You didn't see the New England Pats shy away from taking one of if not the biggest baby ever to grace and NFL gridiron, Randy Moss.  18-1 not too shabby.  So where is all this **leadership**?  I'm looking at you Duncan.

Certainly not Poppycock.  :D :D

Oh wait, Lurker you the EN will have Michael Finley make Marbury all right in the head.  :D

So football is basketball now?  I thought  swimming and basketball was one in the same?  Wouldn't a QB be more like a PG then a wide receiver being a PG?  Horrible example.

Tony Parker is a top point guard in this league.  Marbury is not.  He has never shown to be a winner, he has never shown that he can fit into an existing system, and he is not the person you want dominating the ball.  If you want to take shots away from Manu and Duncan so Marbury can shoot 3s and off balanced jumpers, by all means feel that way.  To everyone else he is not the answer to the Spurs getting past the Lakers or the Celtics for the title.

Marbury is reportedly in the best physical condition he's been in in a LONG time, and might actually not totally be a douche this year.

That being said, the knicks will still suck bollox

I'd be much more worried about his mental condition then his physical one.  The guy can play basketball with the best of em.....at Ruckers, as a street baller....in the NBA?  Sure he has skills and stats that are impressive (20-10) but when it comes to being on a team? He falls way short.

^^ Kenny Chesney "Some people change".
Show some love.  Didn't you even have bad habits that you no longer do?

Cmon now, sing along westkoast, Lurker and all.
"Some people change".  I think I'll make that the Spurs 2009 Championship song.  Dedicated to Poppycock, Marbury and the Spurs.

Why does every team that Marbury joins go down in winning percentage?

And why does every team he leaves go up in winning percentage?

Why would any TEAM consider adding a cancer?

No, well yes and no.  MontGen did a copycat version.  The Kenny C version is much better.

yeah and the Chesney video of this song is also really well done.

MontGem and their psuedo macho act is only for a certain segment of tabacoo chewing hicks.  And that's just the women.

^^^ Westkoast "And some people don't"

It's hard to give the guy the benefit of the doubt when he did this in Minnesota, Phoenix, New Jersey, and now New York.  So far he is battling 1.000 in the cancer department.

How can you be a true Spurs fan when you want to replace Tony Parker, a very important part of the last championship run, with a guy who has never made it out of the second round?
