Another Stoudamire a Spur

Hey maybe they will work it up to Amare Stoudamire soon.    Well, after he turns 35 anyways.

He may not have the spice that a Sasha Vujac brings to keep WoWs eyes fastened, but the Spurs have acquired a three point "specialist".

Salim Stoudamire has escaped pro basketball?s burial grounds ? the Atlanta Hawks ? and now will play for a winner.

The ex-Wildcat shooting star has signed with the San Antonio Spurs and is expected to replace the three-point shooting threat of Brent Barry and perhaps Robert Horry.

In three years with the dismal Hawks, Stoudamire averaged just 17 minutes per game and was often slowed by a chronic ankle injury. His career average is eight points per game.

Perhaps an organization as effective as the Spurs will change Stoudamire?s career path. Winning is contagious, right? Perhaps Salim?s rep as a clubhouse malcontent will change ? it will probably have to change; he will have to adapt ? as he becomes a role player on a team with superstars Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan.

If he does, Salim could spent another 10 years in the league as a Steve Kerr-type specialist and make millions of dollars.

Exactly.  He's probably being touted as the next Ray Allen or Reggie Miller by those "inside" sources.

Robert Horry's 3 point shooting shouldn't be too hard to replace considering it wasn't all that great the last two years.

I have read about some of the other pickups the Spurs have made...why bother mentioning them by name.  They should just have "Scrub 1", "Scrub 2", etc on the back of the jersey...this off season turned out to be more crap than usual for this team.

yeah, I read that.  what's funny is that windows vista released a patch to basically reinstall the core of vista on your computer through windows update.  So I am sure this playts into the whole Windows Mojave garbage of re-introducing people to vista.  My vista worked like crap until recently, the patch FINALLY has it working pretty well.  Why couldnt MS just do that to begin with instead of letting vista be out for so long and yet not let people update actual fixes to real problems??  It makes MS look even worse IMO.

Because they don't HAVE to in my opinion.  Microsoft owns, what, 95% of the operating system market in the world?  They can release buggy programs and repair through patch but people usually end up having to get it because they have no other options.

Or had that is...my problem isn't so much vista, i don't have major problems with it, my irritation is that 'docx' protocol they put into the new office so that old versions of office can't read the new versions of office...at least once or twice a week I have to ask people to back save stuff so i can read it on my mac.

My point on these 'i'm a pc commercials' is that microsoft doesn't make PCs, they don't sell PCs, and while Apple can make hey mocking PCs/Microsoft in commercials, I don't think Microsoft can recover going about it the same way, they really are very different companies to me even though they are 'competitors'

I heard the same thing.  My guess is they are being used like sugar packets to put under the camera tripods to stabilize and level them. 

As long as there is a pretty graphic that needs making I'm sure there will be a Mac.  Leave all the automation for running factories in industries like pharmaceutical, food, beverage, oil, construction materials, offshore drilling, etc, etc, etc... to PC's.

Yeah, but my issue and the one Microsoft seems to be ignoring is that while there's really only one OS to run on an Apple computer, PCs have multiple OS and Microsoft probably faces a bigger long term threat from the Linux options, open source folks (I love open office on my laptop)...than from apple.

Maybe history will repeat itself.  Apple always thought IBM was the enemy, turned out it was guy sitting right next to him and his "Windows" thingy.  My only issue is that Apple, and their fans, point to the innovations they develop and how everyone else, MS in particular, just imitate.  Apple has inovated zilch, someday the general public will understand.
