There's a couple contracts that match up to make the trade work, maybe they are haggling over which disposable player makes the trade work....

Big news of the night: Ron Artest AKA Tru Warier AKA Crazy Pills is now a Rocket. The Rockets send the ghost of Bobby Jackson, a future first rounder, and an unconfirmed player believed to be Donte Green to the Kings. Ziller is rolling over in the shallow grave he just dug for himself.

It was obvious Ron wasn't in Sacramento's long-term plans, but you HAVE to think they could've gotten something better than the first-round pick of an obvious playoff team and an aging, inefficient shooting point guard. If Donte Green pans out, then this deal looks a little better for the Kings, but I'd be lying if I told you that it made the deal fair.

Ron is in a contract year so he might behave.  If the Rockets can stay healthy, big if, they are a serious title contendor.  They are scary good since they have all the defensive tools to be the Celtics of the WC.

The only thing worse than Ron going to the Rockets would have been if he had gone to the Spurs.  The Rockets could be scary good.

If Houston is healthy, "irregardless" of what Randy thinks, they are a contender for the WCF, especially with Artest added.  The PTBNL was Donte Greene, plus the Kings got $1 million in cash.  The big 3 in the west are LAL, Utah, and Houston.
