According to Ric Bucher on SportsCenter....

http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?videoId=3491234&n8pe6c=2&categoryId=2459788

.... the Clippers are now a playoff team while the Nuggets are blowing up their team and getting ready to rebuild. For conversations sake, if the Nuggets were to trade Iverson, what teams would he be a fit with??

Dallas and Cleveland come to mind.

According to hoopshype the nuggets didn't get a second rounder, they just have the right to swap second rounders in 2010

The nugs according to other reports are probably about 4-5 mil INTO luxury tax land

This is solid news.  We appear to have survived free agency with no casualties.

Free Agency is not over, the sixers still have players they need to re-sign, you can't determine survival until all pieces have landed.

Hence the key word "appear"

Whatever Mr Bodner, it's your sand box and you feel the need to nitpick my posts constantly, that's your right.

Jem, you have a rare combination of a persecution complex and a superiority complex.  It makes you a helluva delight.  The word "appear" in his sentence completely changes the statement and implies that it's not definitively over.  If you think that's nitpicking, then you must get pissed off by a lot of nitpicking in your life.

Do you survive cancer before all the cancer cells are gone?
Can you survive a plane crash before it's over?

I'm just curios how one can survive an event or experience before said event or experience is over, appearance or not.

And I'm not pissed off, but I do find your constant critiques of minor things I post kind of irritating.

So am I allowed to postulate about your psychological make up from 3,000 miles away without knowing you at all in your ever day lfe?

Cause if I had to guess, words that would come to mind are napoleon, hummer, overcomensating, you know, things like that.

APPEAR

If you're on a plane, and you're landing, and you've made it through take off, turbulence in the air, and descent, and you're about to touch ground, you can "appear" to have made it through the flight without the flight being 100% over.

If you're in game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals, and you're up 25 with 3 minutes left, you can appear to have made it to the nba finals, even though it's not a 100% certainty.

With only the memphis grizzlies having significant cap space, and them showing no signs of using it, the threat of someone making an offer to one of the Sixers two restricted free agents that would drive them up appears to be over.  That's a very different statement than the threat is over.  I thought with him throwing in the word appear, it made that abundantly clear and even went out of his way to avoid confusion.

If that's your argument, and how you applied it to his original post, you're comment about me nitpicking is extremely hypocritical.  It's quite clear what how he was using the word and the sentence.  In fact, I thought he went out of his way to make it clear.

I would agree that it looks like we are in good shape here, but it is certainly not over - unless you are prepared to match a 5 year deal for LouW at the full MLE - which, given the fact the Beno Udric got the same deal - is still a possibility...

I would assume that Stefanski is prepared to match all offers for Lou.
