Didn't expect that.  Now things are a little more interesting.

All depends on if sterling is back to his cheap ways, donald sterling is a VERY RICH owner, he could afford to keep both these guys easily....for a lot of money....and still not feel the hit....i remember being shocked when he matched on brand and maggette...i think brand only opts out because he knows he's getting a bigger better long term deal from the clips

If I'm Ed Stefanski, I'm ordering Brand a Sex-o-gram around midnight courtesy of the Philadelphia 76ers.

There are no bird rights if you opt out right? Can they offer much more than us?

Is that true?

I expect with no tender to Livingston, and Maggette and Brand opting out - they could have more cap room than the sixers :)

BTW - i looked at the new realgm.com just now - i agree that the redesign is bad - it has too much advertising and is too 'slick' - if it ain't broke don't fix it - that slide thing is nonsense :)

Scanning through this - i see nothing about ETO revoking bird rights - anyone know a better source?

Stephen A Smith just said BK would give Elton Brand the max dollars, but he says Stefanski has reservations about Brand and is not going that route.

I'm pretty sure we have a more reliable source that says the opposite right?
