Orl - Boston Turkaloo
« on: January 28, 2008, 11:50:45 AM »
Did anyone see that ending?  :D :D  3 point chuck by Turkolue for the Orlando win.

I asked some time ago why Orl was not winning (as much) last year after 2005s strong close.
JoeV stated "easy answer, simply no point guard and Jammer Nelson is *NOT* the answer". (paraphrase)

In seeing the end (last 5 minutes) of Boston - Orlando yesterday i can only completely agree.
Orlando point guard duties are in serious need of help, and TurkyGlues three point heave came only after he, yes he was the designated point forward-point guard the entire last 4 minutes, chucking up unbelievable crap including some twisting 3 point airball.  Orl had like a 7 point lead until they went into Turkey Point Guard mode.  Arroyo was no help either, an incredibly stupid turn with about a minute to go.

What is up with ORLs ballhandling?

It was far from a chuck.  The play was drawn up for him and he had a clear look at the rim.  You make it sound as if he just wildly threw it up there in desperation.  He has been Orlando's go to guy in the 4th quarter this entire year.

So Orlando drew up a twisting 3 pointer when the game was tied.
Bullcrap.
The final shot yes he got a good look and hit.
The previous shots he was both the primary ballhandler, point guard if you will and was chucking.
7 point lead down to a tie.

If you want to obsess over the final shot, go for it.

Turkey had been chucky and missing the 4th qtr.  You two sheep claim the final play, which he did chuck and make, was drawn up by design.  :D

It was actually pretty funny watching him hit the obviously ad libbed play.
To those who watched the game.

Having troubles today Reality?  Bad juice maybe?  Was it calculated or was it just thrown together?  Was it a quality shot or was it just throwing it up?  Gotta make up your mind.

The play was drawn up for him.  That's a stone cold fact.  Sorry to burst your bubble.

It was the first game-winning, walk-off, 3-point field goal in the NBA either of the last two seasons. The last was a 23-footer by Damon Jones of the Cavaliers in a win at Toronto on March 8, 2006 -elias sports

Okay B-Rad, you're claiming its a "stone cold fact" that Coach Stan Van Gundy called a trey attempt that has not worked in any NBA game in 18 monts.
Is this like the "fact" the Lakers have won *3* games since Byns went down?

I'm having an excellent juice day.  You may need to readjust your double orange mocha. ;)

LOL so because teams haven't hit a 3 to win in a while it means that no team draws up plays to hit a 3 to win?!  What kind of idiotic logic is that?  Is that Spurs logic?  Couldn't be...Lurker and the gang are much too smart for that.  Must be Chargers Logic.

It's a fact that the play was drawn up for Hedo.  FACT.  You trying to bring up the Lakers doesn't change that lol.  I'd point something out about Derek Fisher's production and Laker wins but ill save that for a thread ABOUT THE LAKERS.

Here ya go B-Rad:
Even Stan Van Gundy wasn't sure what Hedo Turkoglu was doing.
An off-balance 3-pointer with time running out -- when all the Magic needed to break a 93-all tie against the Kevin Garnett-less Boston Celtics was a two?
"I think he wanted to set it up so he could hit a miracle and make his final bid for the All-Star Game," the Magic coach joked. "If we win by seven, no drama. It doesn't make as good of a case."

"I didn't really want to settle on a jumper," Turkoglu said. "I just tried to go to the hole and take a foul, but they had good defense and forced me to take a tough shot. I'm just glad it was right there today."  http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280127019

Yet you say "It's a fact that the play was drawn up for Hedo.  FACT."  Designed by Stan Van. :D :D
(Que B-Rad to say "No i didn't, all i said was the play was designed to go to Hedo.")

You are so retarded you don't even realize that he said the ball was suppose to go to Hedo.  They always run plays for Hedo.  Even the commentators talked about it.
