Dabods....yes I can say that he is untested against big time power forwards in a 7 game series.  Why?  Because he is untested against big time power forwards for more than a game here and a game there.  Aside from Sheed he did not face a serious post threat more than 2 games.  Some of which were not even close to being next to each other.

A big part of the strong Indy team defense is the fact that Jermaine O Neal is able to leave his man and come over to help.  If he was playing against Webber, Duncan, or Dirk he wouldnt be able too.  Youve watched enough EC ball from them to notice that.  Thats how its been for the past 2 years with that team.

The Kings only lost to the Bucks at home this year- in their last home game against an Eastern team. Last year they went undefeated. Before losing to the Bucks, the Kings set the NBA record for consecutive home victories against the opposing conference.

What did this have to do with anything I said in my post?

If you want to trump up your team, by all means, do.  But it doesn't dispute anything I said in my original post.

Nothing you guys have posted have disproved either of my statements:
1) That the Pistons and Pacers ARE better than the 5-8 seeds out west.
2) That the Pistons and Pacers could hold their own against the Lakers (and, as JoMal kindly pointed out, Minn and SA).

I was never responding to your post, Dbodner. I was by all means just trumping up my own team, and that quote you cited by me was a response to some homey named "guest" lauding a little snickpick about how the Lakers did this year against the east.

Actually, I agree with you about Detroit and Indiana fairing okay against western teams. OTHER western teams beside the Kings, that is, who, again played the East about as well as anyone did from the west this year, and won all four games against the Pacers and Pistons.

That homey 'guest' is me.  I brought it up because as Dabods posted.....Indy could handle the Lakers in a 7 game series.  While at the same time trying to say the EC is not inferior to the west.  Far from me taking a shot or trying to ruffle feathers.
