Whaddaya do with this guy.

Oozes potential, meets potential in the 2nd half of the season.  Then bricks when it counts against the playoff Purple and Gold.

Kobe in, Turk out.

Hedo is totally overrated, all hype, and no production :nonono:.  I am not impressed.  He will never be more than a mediocre role player, and he will make $5 million a year.  Amazing :eek2:.  Geoff Petrie is a genius :hail: .  He used Hedo to get Brad Miller.   One more bonehead by Orlando.

Bye Bye Hedo!  No way that Pop matches the length of this contract.  6 yrs and $37 mil....not after Hedo faded down the stretch last year.  Instead Pop will use the money to go after Brent Barry who has said SA is at the top of his list.

Brent Barry is twice the player that Hedo is.  That would be a huge upgrade.  THey can get Barry for 4 years and $25 million.  IF the Spurs get Barry they have really improved their team.

Supply & demand.

There are a lot of teams with cash to spend and not that many players that are worth it.  Can't really blame the players....the owners need to be smarter.

With Hedo gone the Spurs will have enough cap room to offer Barry more money than Houston.  Also Barry has said that SA is his #1 choice.  Keep hopin' that the Spurs don't reload though.....I wouldn't expect any less from a Clipper fan.

Reload?  Looks more like treading water.  Still, the two teams IMO that would actually BENEFIT from standing pat are the Spurs and Pacers.  T-Wolves are close but IMO they lose to the Spurs in the playoffs should they meet with the same rosters as last year.

Barry's willingness to keep the ball moving would be a big upgrade IMHO.

Hedo's connections in Sacramento suggested to local media that his collapse in the post season probably cost him another twenty million in contract money. Last year, he was seriously considered a six year sixty million dollar man, which looks to be ludicrous now.

Brent Barry will cash in this summer big time. I expect him to get the max money. He improves the play of his teammates, which is such a rare and unorthadox phenomenon in today's "Look-At-My-Stats-So-Pay-Me" generation of NBA players that GM's around the League must be drooling over adding him to their rosters.

Whoever gets Barry will truly benefit. I doubt he goes to the Rockets, simply because they already have one of the few other players in the NBA who actually understands the concept of "teamwork" - Jimmy Jackson, who generally plays the same position.

The Spurs are a much better fit and they already have a great "teamwork" concept. With Barry in that lineup, they become instant frontrunners for the 2005 championship.

Brent Barry gets max money?!?!

No way. I'll put money down that this WILL NOT HAPPEN. He's a white, 32-year-old point guard. He will do just fine, but no way will he get a max contract.

Yeah, you are right. His age and his injury history will not get him anywhere near the maximum money.
