Is the Western Confrence too stacked now?
« on: July 03, 2004, 08:37:03 PM »
Serious question.  Is the Western Confrence too stacked now?  After T-mac being dealt to the Houston Rockets I believe that all the best 2-3 combinations in the league are out west.  Not saying that the East can content but look at the talent grouped together.

Tim Duncan, Manu, Parker

Yao, T-mac (Could be a huge pairing)

Garnett, Spree, Cassell

Webber, Peja, Bibby

Dirk, Walker, Finley

Gasol, Williams, Wells

Nash, Stoudamire, Marion

Maybe Kobe, Shaq

Dallas is REALLY intersting right now -- they traded Jamison (their ONLY post player) and Walker isn't staying so that leaves them?  They are still getting in a position to go for Shaq, IMO, I think their trades just don't make sense if they DON'T go after Shaq.
