Yes, yes, for crying out loud yes!
'Bout time Rambis stopped being an idiot.
EDIT: 'Bout time Rambis stopped being *less* of an idiot.
Love is a really good player. He may be the best rebounder in the league; he can shoot the ball (88% from the line this year); he's a talented passer; and he's only 22 years old.
Yeah, his defense isn't great, but he tries. He's not Michael Beasley or somebody.
Since that 23/24 exhibit against LA, he's averaging (in nine games):
20.4 points
16.7 reb
2.6 ast
11-for-23 3pt (.423)
45/50 FT (.90)
.467 FG
Yeah, the FG% could be better, but come on. Look at some of those stats. And that's in about 37 minutes a game (finally!).
True, he's doing this on a 4-12 team, but they've blown three significant leads in the 4th quarter over the past week or so (at Atlanta, at Charlotte, home against San An). They could easily be 7-9. which is far from terrible.
The kid is just a really good player.
I think he could be the 2nd-best player on a playoff team, and probably 3rd-best on a championship-caliber team. Perhaps even better with time (Pau Gasol in Memphis, anyone?).
Suffice to say, I'm a huge fan, and have been since last year, BEFORE he was on my fantasy team.
