They still got the W last night even though Chicago gave them a little run for their money!

I am curious who the other player was though.  Once it comes out and the media goes nuts about it, it could ruin chemistry afterwards.  Spurs are playing well too.

Have to ask what you think of Jefferson.  .524 from the field, .462 from 3-point range, 78% from the line, 15.6 ppg.

Oh - and Bonner - 9.1 PPG, .457 from the field and .692 (not a misprint) on his 3-pointers.

Kind of makes Blair's 6.2 PPG and .393 (also not a misprint) from the field look awfully pedestrian - especially for a starter.

To someone who hasn't watched a Spurs game, perhaps.  ^^^
How'd you like Blairdog vs Utah?
And the Blairdogs strength is rebounding.  He is doing just fine.

And if you think Bonner is going to keep this up in the playoffs.  :D :D  I certainly hope he does but i don't get all geeked over a little 6 game sample vs 3 years of playoff tanks.

Jefferson doing what he is capable of and paid to do is indeed a huge refreshment compared to last year.
Equally incredible is Pops distribution of minutes depending on whom the Spurs are playing.  It's been excellent for the most part.

Reality you can't be side stepping the fact that Jefferson is playing well.  In all fairness to you, he did not have a good season last year.  The Jefferson that everyone sees now is the one that most of us expected to see when he first signed.  15 a game shooting over 50% off the bench is GREAT.

Other than that, they really look solid.  Only 1 loss team left in the league.    Manu looks a lot better than he has in the past season or so.  That doesn't bode well for the rest of the teams they face.

Very well.

Jefferson isn now shooting .500 from the field, 14.9 ppg, and .443 on 3-pointers.
Bonner is at .370 from the field, 6.9 PPG, and .489 on 3-pointers.
Blair is up to .426 from the field, 6.2 PPG, and 6.4 RPG.  Don't know why I didn't see that he'd be this good.  Absolute stardom.  (That last bit was sarcasm.)

Just for kicks, I checked the basketballreference site to see who have similar careers to Blair.  It blew up on Alaa Abdelnaby.  Hopefully, because that's the first NBA player in alphabetical order as they try to do the compare.  But then again, who can say?

You were closer with Serge Ibaka.  He's actually having a reasonably good year.

Yawn.

Jefferson doing much better this year to many a Spurs delight.  Completely different effort given.  Yet you claimed he was just fine last year.  Rebounding still sporadic tho.

Bonner your takes are like shooting fish in a bowl.  Seriously do you think those few boxscores you put out are your defense?  And you leave out defense, you know the thing that "wins Championships".  Lets see, leave out rebounding and D right?  For a 6'10" NBA forward.
Oh and his shooting that you were touting (cherry picking) last week resulted in Bonners going 6-27 since.  Or as RealSpurs note, "Bonner is rounding into playoff form."   :D
You want to know what he is shooting inside the arc for the season?  Really wanna know?  Like including around the basket?  For a 6'10" big?  4-26 (not a misprint).
Steals, assists.  Yeah please do compare ALL of Blair with Bonbon.

In case any lurkers are bored to tears with this, i present to Joe (and you) in Haiku form from the ST site.....

Bonkus

He can be decent
But always blows in playoffs
Useless overall

You want some defense?
Rebounding and a post game?
I space the floor great

Bonner may be Dirk
With red hair, less height and talent
But details, really

Hands up in the air
But feet never leave the ground
Thats pool boy defense

The positioning
The grace that of a caveman
He tries really hard

I just shoot some threes
Then throw up some lame runners
Then shoot some more threes

Three point shooting champ
He runs like Herman Munster
The Sandwich Hunter

I have no post game,
Nicest player in the league,
Straight Outta Concord.

In a playoff dream
Matt Bonner hits a clutch shot
And green pigs slam dunk

Blairdog the last 3 of 4 games.
18/13
22/11
18/13
all wins.

Keep pulling for Alaa Abdelnaby.

To be followed by 7 points, 6 rebounds, in a loss.

^^^ Yeah the 21 year old didn't have 4 double doubles in a row.
And the Spurs are only like 20-3 in games in which he's played 20+ minutes.

what a fail.
Keep pulling for Alaa.

Rolando as much as said it in the other thread;  the Spurs are about Duncan.  Duncan goes down, the team goes down.  Blair is a nice bit player, but that's all he is - a lesser-talented version of Paul Millsap.
