David Kahn is nuts
« on: July 22, 2010, 09:43:47 PM »
I'm glad I live in Minnesota, if only for the unintentional comedic *genius* that is David Kahn.

http://www.startribune.com/sports/wolves/blogs/99043669.html?elr=KArks7PYDiaK7DU2EkP7K_V_GD7EaPc:iLP8iUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUU

* Asked about who'd win a game of H-O-R-S-E on a team that seemingly has significantly improved its shooting, he said, "It'd be hard (to pick a winner). We have a lot of good shooters, but I wouldn't discount Bill Laimbeer. Bill can still shoot it."

That's right, folks.  Our assistant coach - who's been retired for over 15 years - could out-shoot anyone on our team!

Ladies and gentlemen, your Minnesota Timberwolves!

Here's my favorite part of the quote:

Quote
He's 21 ... and if you think back, as I do all the time, to when I was 21, and if you had given me this kind of money and put me in this kind of world with these kinds of pressures attached to it and some of the demands, I don't know how well I would have handled it, any easier than, say, he has.

Makes you wonder if Kahn really knows where Beasley's coming from.  And might explain some of his moves.  And quotes.

You mean like when he compared Darko to Chris Webber during a summer league game a few weeks ago, and Webber was doing color for NBA.TV and almost punched Kahn in the face?  You mean like that?

Personally, I was disappointed ... in Chris Webber, for NOT punching him in the face.  Wolves fans everywhere would have stood up and cheered.  In fact, Webber may have become more popular than anyone on Minnesota's roster.  But I digress ...

WOW!  Are you kidding me?  I wish there was a clip of this online for me to see.  That is a huge insult to Chris Webber.

Thank you sir!

"Among a handful of entertaining lines, David Khan sent a shoutout to Chris Webber during a Thursday radio appearance. "He's kind of a schmuck, isn't he? Methinks that he spent a lot of time on NBA TV with a former Timberwolves person and he seemed to come into the interview with an agenda. Tough questions are fine, but I felt like he was a little defensive about some of the things.""
