OT board Spelling and Word nuts
« on: April 06, 2010, 06:34:07 PM »
What English word has 9 letters and, if you take one letter away at a time*, it will still spell a word all 9 times.  All the way down to one letter.
*The one letter taken away can be taken from any position.

I don't know how to turn the video into a link so for now unable to post a visual.

Hint:  The word does not start with "a".

Or put another way, start with one letter.  It has to be a word.
Now, adding one letter at a time, see how many words you can get up to.  Can you make it to 9?  Remember, the letter can be added anywhere.

Absolutely startling, Ted.  Good job.

Any idea for the last word?

I thought the missing word was "self-ownage".
"History shouldn't be a mystery"
"Our story is real history"
"Not his story"

"My people's culture was strong, it was pure"
"And if not for that white greed"
"It would've endured"

"Laker hate causes blindness"

Regardless of everything else this thread is the reason I like coming here.  This is classic Philly Arena!!!  Now if Jomal would just add a little something to make me laugh it will be complete.

I need to remind myself that deadpan humor doesn't really work on a message board ...

You'd be surprised Caleb.
