On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. The lesson? The good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.

Wow, looks like Magic was the greatest of all time.

Even looking at the playoff winning % Manu is still tied at third with - Pippen <<cough cough Pippen sucks cough cough>>.   ;)

So which is greater, a team that wins the championship by going 4-3, 4-3, 4-3, and 4-3, or a team that loses the championship going 4-0, 4-0, 4-0, 3-4.  Team 1 - 16-12 (.571)   Team 2 - 15-4 (.789).

What matters most is this stat - Bill Russell - 11 titles, 13 years (.846).  Most titles, and one of the highest percentages.

The ultimate goal is the championship, so the ultimate measure of success is the measure of your consistency in achieving that ultimate goal.

No, at the very best, it would make him tied in championships.  As far as his role goes,  he has not and never will compare to Magic Johnson and Kareem.

Reality,

Are you saying that Michael Cooper owns Manu Ginobilli?

This is one of my favorite Laker trivia questions:  In the 80's, the Lakers won 5 Titles.  Name the three players who were on each championship team.  You'd be amazed at the answers you get for that third person.

LOL, it's ok.  He'll add more playoffs and titles to his collection.   ;)

Most people would say Byron Scott and James Worthy but both were not there for the 1980s championship.  It also wasn't Norm Nixon because the Lakers gave him up to get Scott.

You'll be surprised at the answers you get:  Worthy and Scott are the two most common, but you'll get answers along the lines of Nixon, Wilkes, Rambis, Kupchak, McAdoo, and Mychal Thompson as well.  Everyone seems to forget Michael Cooper.

And the Celtic question is just as fun:  name the Celtic starter with 5 letters in his first name, 4 letters in his last name - the last two being "RD" who hit the NBA's first three pointer.

You guessed it:  CHRIS FORD.
