No BRad, what's being asked here of the entire board is their view of posting occasional cheerleader or other pics.  Along with clear up the swearing issue once and for all, not just by flip flopping Laker Worshipper standards.

Including the offer to post the threads title with knowlege of pics, so you wanna be controller types can avoid if you wish.

That means zig, msc, lurker, Rolando Blackman, Jamold, et al still need to be heard from.

This is exactly what Joe is calling you out on.  Did you seriously try to act like Rolando Blackman, someone who hasn't posted here in a few years, has to weight in before you finally realize what a bunch of us are telling you already? While all of us enjoy looking at women, we could easily find pictures ourselves.  We come here to talk basketball.  You are making it sound as if no one can google up pics of Miss California if they wanted to see her.

On top of it, you are not helping out with posting the pictures.  You are doing it so you can try to make Laker Fan Dan leave.  So just stop.  This board has a high IQ and you trying to act like you are not doing this very thing im calling you on is insulting the boards IQ.  Simple.

Want to improve the board?  TALK BASKETBALL.  Quit trying to skirt out of debates to do bs like this.  Its annoying.

LFD has stayed on the board thru all WoWs swearing, swearing which was long ago agreed and several times verified would stop.  So the big drama queen act that he's leaving "because of me" would be just that, an act.

As to your skirtiness, I've asked you to back up your claim that we *all* agreed no pictures of women.  All you've done since is spin bi-polar style which is your forte.

No i don't have to hear from Ro Blackman, but he was one Laker who could post objectively.

Where's all the posters of Sixers Gone Fishin'? Or, did you think they started fishing before the playoffs were over?

Rick do you see the last few pictures have nothing to do with the actual game of basketball or its players?  That is what is being debated here.  Having 'gone fishing pictures' which actually have SOMETHING to do with basketball is not the problem. 

I would have been just as happy if all the posts in this thread were those pics.  They have nothing to do with a serious basketball discussion, but they're fun.  I remember the one he posted after Iguodala sank a buzzer beater against the Lakers with their faces pasted over a Peanuts comic.  All he did was post of picture of San Antonio cheerleaders and someone's panties got all twisted...

It's just a diversion, it's not about basketball.  As long as he isn't showing things that could be described as porn, I'm not sure what the problem is.

No one owes you an apology, nor will one be forthcoming, nor does anyone owe you an explanation regarding the boards gentleman's agreement regarding foul language, I've repeatedly called out ALL individuals regarding that agreement, WOW included. The fact that I haven't called him out everytime is irrelevent, similar to my not calling you out every time for posting pictures of half naked women, or all the other stupid, baiting, hatefilled ridiculous tripe you post ON A REGULAR BASIS. The difference between you and WOW is, you claim to live by a different standard, I see no evidence of it. My apology to Derek was because I respect him even if apparently he doesn't respect me, which I'm actually OK with, I know I can come across exectly as he described, I will at least try to respect Derek and his opinion by not coming across so boorish in the furure. How can you call it fake like you are inside my head and than confront Joe for EXACTLY THE SAME THING? You respect no one, and you flaunt that fact on a daily basis, you never acknowledge when you offend someone other than to take gleeful delight in getting under someone's skin, you never give an objective opinion about anything because you are too busy finding a way to attack, and there is no way anyone can make me believe based on years of your antics that you are anything BUT exactly as you come across. You hear from 2 members of the board and instead of listening to what they had to say, their opinion you claim you were seeking, you confront Joe, one of the most level-headed and erudite cats on the board. You are nothing more than an attention seeker and you will seek it anyway you see fit, congratulations, you got my attention.

Whether it is just me or others here who would rather you not post photos of half naked women or not is really beside the point, you do it to fan flames, I may come across as a sef-righteous jerk, but I don't spend my every waking hour trying to figure out how to irritate this message board.

All I'm saying is that i didn't see anything in this thread that I found offensive. I didn't see the other one you were writing about.  There are other posts here I find more objectionable.  I don't expect everyone to agree with my posts or even like what I write, even though I hope that they do.  When someone annoys me too much, I simply stop reading the posts.  In this case, Reality even started warning people so that Dan wouldn't get upset. But seriously, he knows Reality's MO by now.  If he keeps reading what reality posts, he's going to get pissed off and he should know that in advance.

I'm a big fan of free speech, and while I accept that certain things are off limits, I would hope that we posters would police ourselves.  It seems to me Reality responded in a reasonable way.  If seeing a Cheerleader close up is that bothersome to Dan, I'm sorry, but you can see pictures like that at NBA.com too.

The cheerleader pictures don't bother me.  It's the lack of really talking basketball on a basketball message board that does.  Personally I appreciate insight from Joe and Lurker about their teams more than pictures of females that is one google search away.  I much rather read you talk about the economy and eastern conference teams than random photoshopped pictures of the Spurs or the Lakers.  I feel it's way below this board to go a fan home route.  When debates get going here, they are really good.  Yet they always seem to get derailed by constant stupidity.

It's reasonable in the sense that people reading the thread would know that the posts weren't for them and they wouldn't suddenly appear on their screen without warning.

If he's intentionally baiting someone, they can handle it by ignoring him altogether.  Whatever Reality's motives are, as long as no-one clicking on a link gets subjected to inappropriate viewing material, he is acting responsibly, even if it is in a sort of childish, silly fashion.

And who knows if the guy is posting up pictures of plays or pictures that don't belong here.  That could have easily been mistaken,by LFD, as obvious fouls on the Lakers during a game.  Aside from that, some of us post from work.  While I don't have to always worry about someone looking over my shoulder sometimes someone will come over to my desk so I have to be careful of the sites I go to.  This place was, at one point, could be open at anytime with out me worrying.

Dan, Reality knows you've called me out several times for cursing, he's just being his clown self by claiming that you don't hold Laker fans to the same standard.  WE ALL KNOW YOU TRY TO HOLD EVEYRONE TO THE SAME NO CURSING RULE (even you slip sometimes).  Nobody is buying Reality's horse shyte about that.  I try not to curse but sometimes I cut loose, that's the way I talk in real "sports" life.  I know that cursing makes people seem less intelligent but I think most of you know how I feel about my intellect vs everyone elses.  FYI, it's not a "superiority complex" if you REALLY are superior.   I know the other rule is "racey" pics so I stay away from those as well, even though I loved those Korean soccer babe pics.

That's why I stopped posting from work as well.  Gone fishing implies the TNT type pics NOT pics of girls in bikini's.  While my tolerance for "racey" pics is pretty high, work has ZERO tolerance.  I guess I'll have to go back to not posting from work since some IDIOTS don't get why those pics are wrong.
