Rondos foul on Brad Miller a Flagrant?

To me it was an obvious Flagrant.  Rondo came no where near the ball.
Maybe we can get some photos up and avoid the usual pissing matches since a.  no one has a dog in this game and bee Dabods recent post(s) one would hope will serve as having at least some impact.

A series altering no call for sure.  You can say Miller still had a chance to hit the fts but a bloody mouth and loose tooth can tend to alter ones shot.  Would have been ballsy for him to knock down both but i hardly classify it as a wuss out on Millers part for the miss.

2 questions:
1.  Do not the refs have the go ahead to review the play on the spot?  In order to review on the spot, it would have had to have been called a Flagrant. Correct?

2.  If it was called a Flagrant, would Chicago have had the option of having anyone other then Miller shoot the FTs?

Why would there be a pissing match if no one on this board really cares about the Celtics and Bulls?

In this version of the NBA?  He made no play on the ball so....Flagrant 1.  One shot and the ball.  Clearly he was shooken up about it and it effected his ability to shoot free throws.

Btw its SICKENING what Rondo and Paul Pierce get away with at home.  Rondo especially.

Not sure how many stitches mandate that a flagrant be called. No one said. It was not mentioned how many stitches both Miller and Hinrich needed after the game, but one would think that if a player needs stitches after getting fouled, the League may want to review the play.

I thought the intentional trip of Hinrich was worse.  Rondo made no attempt except to stick out his foot.

But I agree with koast...PP & Rondo got away with everything last night especially after Allen fouled out.  PP used his off arm to clear out at least twice on drives to the basket.

Answer to Q2:  If it had been called a flagrant, Vinny Del Negro could have specified the shooter of his choice (in the playoffs, Ben Gordon, John Salmons, Derrick Rose and Tyrus Thomas are all over 80%), and the Bulls would have had the ball after the shots.

With so little time on the clock AND it being a playoff game they should have done that. 

At the same time, how was there a ref like 8 feet from the play and couldn't tell if there was a play on the ball or not?

Lurker...Rondo got away with a lot of fouling on Rose.  Specifically kneeing him in the leg causing Rose to fall over and lose the ball out of bounce in a key point of the game.

Martin was punished by the league Monday, the day after knocking Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki to the court in Denver's second-round, series-opening win. The flagrant foul occurred with about six minutes left in the first quarter.

Game 2 is Tuesday night at Denver.
