Sixers vs. the team that shall not be named
« on: December 23, 2008, 06:48:27 PM »
I hate the Celtics.  Those haughty bastards need to start losing.  Are the big 3 old yet- now, well maybe next year ???

So does Speights get the start.  I'm guessing either Speights or The, since Thad should bot be trying to cover KG.  He should be matched up against that egomaniac PP.

I would start:

Sam, Speights, Thad, Dala, Lou.

We're going to almost certainly lose, so why not see how our best players do?  I don't care about the bench this game.

As for starting Lou, I see him matching up better against Rondo.

So Willie isn't starting
But Kareem Rush is
And Thad is at the four

Willie left the last game and didn't return - but i didn't hear anything about an injury?  Maybe a trade is in the works and can't risk it?:)

I can't wait until Evans is no longer a Sixer.  What a bad left-over from BK.  I get a angry pit in my stomach whenever the guy is on the floor.  Can we trade him to Europe?

The worst part of this is that rajon rondo should be a sixer

it's not as bad as the non wagner trade but seriousl - two non trades with boston franchises that would have made said teams much better much quicker

makes me sad

From Kate the deep sixer - it was a surprise to rush too it seems

Quote
Kareem Rush will start at shooting guard instead of Willie Green, who isn't playing tonight because of the sore ankle he aggravated Saturday against the Pacers. Head coach Tony DiLeo said he is going with Rush because he wants to continue to bring Lou Williams off the bench as a spark. DiLeo said Rush played the two-spot yesterday at practice and they decided to go with that same lineup. I spoke with both Rush and DiLeo. Rush didn't know he was starting. But he said he'll approach it as an opportunity. Rush has kept his shot in shape all season, always shooting extra after practice. DiLeo said it would, obviously, be a great boast to this squad tonight if Rush could come in and spread the floor and knock down a few three-pointers. And if that's not the case, DiLeo said they would go with Plan B (which I would guess would be Lou Williams at times, and then also Marreese Speights at the power forward and Iguodala at the shooting guard).]

And shucks - it's willie ankle - not impending trade :(

Does it feel to anyone else like the celtics are cats and the sixers are just mice - just toying with them

Admittedly - I'm spending amazon hanukah gift cards instead of paying attention to this game - but still
