What's even more sad is that he would be valuable if he was willing to play within himself.  His belief that he can be Bosh-like causes him to be disruptive in the offense.  If he just relegated himself to dunks, lobs and o-boards he would be an asset.  In fact he still is an asset on some nights- but he's to inconsistent to rely on.

Just think how much more of an asset he'd be if he just worked on a few of the fundamentals - like passing from the post - or dribbling?

What's sad is that there are some fans out there who will look at aht bunch of rebounds, few points (and especially the few blocks) and think - hey sam had a good game.

Let's just find a GM that thinks the same way, especially if Sammy can rack up a few nights with big board and block numbers over the next month without Brand there to compete for rebounds.

Isiahs been fired, Is McHale even in charge any more, King works on NBA TV and even dunleavy has enough centers, and golden state is a mess....

WHat terrible GMs are left?

Yeah, I think Larry Brown is running that show and they already popped off the best piece the sixers could hope to get  ( I mean, yeah gerald wallace is good but what the hell would the sixers do with gerald wallace?) - and I'm not sure Brwn likes sam?

Only the greatest player of our generation.

Along with his hall of fame coach.  ;D  Diaw actually appears tobe playing very well down in Bobcat land however.

Colangelo is said to be deaparate to turn things around in Toronto, although I don't see much to ask for in return from up north.

Minnesota (former Celtic McHale still has some GM power left) and Memphis (former Celtic GM Wallace) seem the most likely destinations.

MInneosta could use a center, even sam, so jeff could play 4 - but kevin love and al jeff seems to be their preferred 4/5?

They got mike miller and randy foye do they not?

That is what I would ask for.

And they would counter with Cardinal, Madsen and Carney.

Yes.  We will have to take back a bad contract for him.

They don't really have too many bad contracts in terms of the 'magic' year

http://www.storytellerscontracts.info/resources/08-09salaries.htm

Even cardinal expires in the 'magic time' (whereas sam expires after)

Maybe if you made the offer for miller/foye with miller, andre?

Carney and Booth can't be traded back to us.  Sam plus a top ten protected first rounder for Miller, Foye and a second rounder.  Would you/they do it?  Probably depends on whther you think Foye needs a change of scenery or is a true bust, I have to admit I am on the fence about that myself.

I think I'd trade Sam for Miller straight up personally - but I think Speights is ready to be a center and Miller makes the sixers much better at their biggest weakenss and is young enough (and contract long enough) to be a solid part - and I have no doubt speights would surpass sam quickly...

I was pondering the first round pick incentive but maybe i'm so burned by the billy king years
