Really good article to read

Very good article, fascinating perspective.  Has nothing to do with basketball.  All about the essential evils of excessive liquidity and leverage.

A third-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the majority. A second-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the minority. A first-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking.

A quotation is a handy thing to have about, saving one the trouble of thinking for oneself.

Hmmm kinda interested in reading his book now.  Not just for the look into the heart of Wall Street but also because I feel guys like him give us younger guys in higher positions a bad wrap.  Often times us younger guys have to work 2x as hard to get the same recognition for what we do because people assume we don't know jack.

Speaking of books, has anyone read outliers OR tribes yet?

At my sisters company currently - younger guys are being promoted over more experienced older women - whether they know jack or not because the person in charge seems to be a moron

Seems more like an exception than the norm though.

Ill be the first to admit there are a lot of guys in their early and mid 20s who are cocky, arrogant, and honestly don't know as much as they try to portray.  At the same time there are a lot of talented younger worker bees who get pushed aside because older employees feel threatened.
