Were you expecting the Sixers to bury a good team?  :(

I was expect Mo to not let willie play that much even with iguodala in foul trouble

Ya know, Andre Miller 3s are good and all, but relying on them is going to bite us in the ass sooner or later.

we can always rely on the flat-footed sniper  8)

Nice games by Brand and Dalembert.  Thad's numbers are nothing to write home about, but his impact in the 4th quarter was huge.  He got his hands on a number of passes and loose balls.

Sloppy 2nd half, but at least they were able to regroup without relinquishing the lead and pull away to close out the game.  We also won this game with barely any fast break points.

I'd love him more if I thought he had any vertical left in his legs - that shot of his that got blocked BEFORE not giving it to evans was shameful

Brand's vertical has always looked minimal.  I don't think he's that far off physically than what he's played at throughout his career.

There were some good small adjustments in the offense in the 1st half.  Also a change in the initial rotations.

Then they/Mo regressed in the second half- but that's why we have a great 3pt shooter like Miller to fall back upon against these great teams.

BTW-did Speights or Lou see the floor in the 2nd half?

Speights and Lou both had short runs in the 2nd half around end of 3rd/beginning of 4th quarter.

This is what Fagan reported about No's new approach to his substition pattern:

Quote
Cheeks said he will try to make sure he doesn't switch the lineup completely. Instead of subbing in four or even five new players, he might go with two new players and three starters. The goal is to make the transition smoother. What seems to be happening is the new unit is comprised entirely of guys who need to work themselves into a flow. Instead of Lou Williams being able to give it to Elton Brand and maybe Thaddeus Young, he is working with Reggie Evans (Evans is also cold coming off the bench) and maybe Willie Green.

A step in the right direction- should at least help Lou get out of his funk.  IMO this type of approach needed to be done from the 1st game- it was an issue even in the preseason.
