Marc Gasol doing 27 and 16
« on: November 04, 2008, 11:29:41 AM »
Last seasons midseason Collusion took another twist last night.
Lakers 2007 second round draft pick Marc Gasol, ironically traded to the Griz as part of the Pao scam, put down 27 pts and 16 boards in a win last night.
Granted, it was vs pourous defense Golden State, but still, 27/16 is a Fabslike performance for any rookie.

Could this give Laker Boardies and Perple n Goldens at large fuel for their faux justification fires?

"Marc has played the last five seasons (2003-08) in the Spanish ACB League, making his professional debut as an 18-year-old with F.C. Barcelona. Most recently, he was named the league MVP after averaging 16.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks for Akasvayu Girona in 2007-08."

Reality is the biggest Lakers/Kobe jock rider in history.  You have to excuse his over reaction to everything even remotely related to his God.
"History shouldn't be a mystery"
"Our story is real history"
"Not his story"

"My people's culture was strong, it was pure"
"And if not for that white greed"
"It would've endured"

"Laker hate causes blindness"

Names of rookies who had a good week of games and then vanished off the face of the map in the past 10 years, 5 years?

So are you trying to tell us you were wrong about the Pau Gasol trade being extremely one sided?

I mean if this continues, which it might, then you look like a moron as usual.  Not only did they get a younger big man who can do what Pau did but they also got a lot of money off the books.

There's this thing called the interweb

Look it up your damn self since you are so impressed by one game against a team where defense is an option not often taken

^^ As to saying the extemist views of either "this means Gasol will be great" or "this means Gasol will suck forever after one week", i espouse neither view.

I do say he has demonstrated very good potential.
For somewhat of an update jem, when Fabs joined the Spurs i said he could be a contributing role player to a Championship to the Spurs.  Nothing more, nothing less.  The Twistys came out en mass and schmeared that i was calling Fabs MVP for 5 years straight.
2006 playoffs we will never know because arsehole Poppycock benched him in favor of SmallBalls.
2007 Fabs was simply Fabulous in a role playing Championship run.
2008 Fabs sucked badly.  I tried offering him preseason as tradebait but no takers.

It should be noted Fabs has literal heart problems and this could, not saying it is but saying it could be a contributing factor to his suckage in 2008.  Just sat out the 1st two 2008-9 Spurs games due to irregular heartbeat.  Some scuttlebutt Golden State might take Fabs and Bonner for Al Harrington.  I think this is a pipe dream.

Oh i agree entirely.  Bonner sucks. Yet numb nutts Pop and the Spurs FO chose him over paying off Scolas Euro team.  Grrreat results.

No Jem, as usual Reality is spinning like a tornado.  He hyped up Flabs as a key piece to the Spurs championship run.  It wasn't until we started to ride him about Flabs that he let up and stopped.

Yeah i had to stop as Fabs contributed to the 2007 Championship.  I was **owned** WoWkoast style.

Now here are your quotes on how Oberto and Scola would turn out:

Quote
As good as Flabs Obencho.  Joe can serve Gatorade with the best of em.  He even makes a mean Fruit Punch Gatorade from the powder canisters.

On Lowie Scola:

Over hyped by Reality...

The guy is average at best.  I've caught like 3 Houston games so far this year and the guy has not shown me anything worth getting you panties in a twist cuz SA gave up the rights for him Reality.
Brilliant weaksause.

Lowie doing 21/9 last night at Boston after helping the Rockets to a 22 game win streak and 56 wins his rookie season.  ;)
