"I can't wait," says Tony Parker about the upcoming season. "I'm ready to go."

Speaking candidly during an interview with Fox Sports in Los Angeles, the Spurs guard was asked about critics who assert that the Spurs need a younger team.

"I think it's going to be the last year with the same team- with the same core," said Parker. "I think coach Pop wants to give it one more chance with that team and I think we deserve it. We won three championships in the last six years, so we'll give it one more time. After this year we're definitely gonna have to go younger. I think for this year, I'm confident that we can do it again."

Asked if he sees himself staying in San Antonio for his whole career, Parker responds: "In my heart, I want to stay, but we'll see.
