Nice snarking.
And while yes we've all heard of the 12 yr old 16 yr old Chinese gymansts, wow i had seen a photo nor watched any of the womens gymnastic viewing events (held by the Laker posters at The Laker House).
It's so obvious these Chinese girls are not 16!

Didn't a reporter already do all the research about how the country who hosts the games get special treatment all across the board by the judges?

While it's not a big deal why is it every 2 days there is a story that comes out that China has been hiding something or masking what they are doing?

First it was the fireworks, then it was the little girl singing, then it was the 14 year old gymnists, and now I am hearing reports of the Chinese mass rounding up protestors and people who oppose the government to keep them from getting their voice heard on a national stage....
Nice hack.
http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/beijing/blog/fourth_place_medal/post/IOC-orders-investigation-into-He-Kexin-s-age?urn=oly,102564
In part:
The International Olympic Committee has ordered an investigation into the age of Chinese gymnast He Kexin, The Times of London reports. Faced with almost insurmountable evidence which suggests that He is two years younger than the birth date listed on her Chinese passport, the IOC has launched an inquiry that could result in the stripping of He's gold medals.

This news comes on the heels of another Times report that details the findings of a New York computer security expert who found official Chinese documents that list He's age as 14 years and 220 days. Mike Walker used a Chinese search engine's cache feature to find He's actual date of birth on spreadsheets from a Chinese government website. The spreadsheets were taken down off the site recently and He's name had been removed.

^^  :D
Oh yeah and the IOC loses all credibility if their investigation is a sham.
Wait, do they have any cred to lose?

The media will run with this ad nauseum.  It's what will "mark" these Olys for China.
Yeah, mysterious death to Walker would not be a stretch at all....

The Chinese gov't mafia has already shut up at least two of the gymnasts.

One, Yang Yun, said in a June 2007 interview that aired on state broadcaster China Central Television that she was 14 at the Sydney Games.  "Everyone has misspoken before. On television shows, there are always slips of the tongue," Yang told the Associated Press, declining to comment further.

Another, Dong Fangxiao, did not deny that her blog says she was born in the Year of the Ox in the Chinese zodiac, which would be 1985. But Dong refused to answer any questions about her age, telling the AP, "I've left the gymnastics team.  "If the FIG wants to investigate this matter," she added, "I will provide every form of documentation."
