Derek Fisher getting 3 years at age 33.

But he's a starter now, in a system that takes time to learn and when farmar is ready to take over, he'll be graceful and step back.

Posey and Horry are ONLY bench players, and in the small sample size of the playoffs what they do gets over blown by people who still think 'points per game' is great regardless of the percentage the player shoots at.

Derek Fisher STARTED on the western conference championship team this year.

Whens the last time Horry or Posey were starters on a fully healthy roster that could actually win a title?

As for Barrdog, I'm hoping and expecting Adleman to cut the 'Dog loose.  I hope he playes point at 30 minutes per game vs Popavich in the playoffs.  I would love to see the Rockets send Phils Bitty packing in Round 1 as Barrdog puts up career playoff numbers.

Can we take this as an official announcement that you've jumped a bandwagon yet again?
No, I'm not using my free will and non-Cultist status to leave the Spurs at this time.
I am considering a marketing position with the Oklahoma City team.  Several Spurs already heading there.
But for San Antonio, Duncan and other Spurs may lead an uprising to overthrow dumbdumbs strategies.
It could happen. ;)

Hollinger pssssh.  You, he and Lurker need to come out from behind the boxscores and BSG reruns and watch some live hoop.  Its a measurement called "heart" along with skill.
Besides, Thunder Dan took dirty 'roids.

Modern Day contributors to title:
Michael Findog 34 2007  How quickly Lurker has fogotten?
Kevin TRex Willis 40 2003 yeah yeah not perimetir i know
Bob Horry 37 2005 try telling me Big Shot Bob is not a perimeter player.

Old school Thunder Dan petering out?
Try 33 year old Billy Walton workin it for the 1986 Celts.
"Brawk brawk he's not a perimeter player."
Terry Porter, Mario Ellie both age 36 for the World Champ 1999 Spurs. ;)

Obviously you did not read the article or it was beyond your comprehension.  The article is about players like Posey, not the Walton's and other bigs.  Try and keep up mmmmkkkkkay.....  FYI Big Shot Rob is 6'10"

Finley.
Terry Porter
Mario Ellie
Brent Barrdog himself helping the Spurs hoist titles in 2005 and 07 at age 33 and 35.
Bob Horry hasn't hoisted any meaningful threes?  Try and keep up okay?

Reading comprehension?

Ron Harper
Brian Shaw
That should settle it.

Fungible is Fungible, over valuing what a guy does in one playoff series is par for the course, it was fait accompli that posey was going to get more than he's worth

At least the kings wasted their entire MLE on a guy they expect to start...

Posey was great in the playoffs, what are you talking about?

Role players are fungible and shouldn't be given 4 year deals for the full MLE especially when they are 31 years old

Couldnt have said it better myself.
Derek Fisher getting 3 years at age 33.

That's going to turn out to be a bad move, Fisher can't cut it anymore.  He is not a top 10 point, and to win a championship you need that.

Type as slow as you want, do it while snuggling with Holinger, Lurker, watching BSG and eating popcorn as Jomal is passing gas in the recliner adding to the ambiance.
Finley 2-3
Barrdog 2-3
Harper 2-3
Ellie 2-3
Bob Horry 3-4

2006 Miami Heat.  6th man including doing 44 minutes in the pivotal Game 5 OT won by Miami 010-100.
Repeat, if New Orl wins the title they will have zillions of dollars.  It will have been worth it.  If they tank badly, not even sniffing past the 1st round, yes it will be an overspend.

Buss loses more money then that in a weeks worth of poker.
Lakers will simply buy Swisher out in some (Probably long ago prearrnged) deal and continue on.
No cap hit.

The economics of the NBA dn New Orleans indicate that the 'zillions' aren't likely if they win the title.
As for posey, he wasn't NEEEDED on this roster.

Yes yes, posey won a ring in 2006, i'm sure he was as important as shaq giving effort and wade having the best season of his career (and the refs helping out)...but THIS season is the season he got grossly over paid for his small sample size performance...

How come no one thought of jjames posey as a dead eye shooter until one short playoff series?

As For Fisher, if farmar doesn't coontinue his progression the lakers are boned, if not, fisher slipps into the mentor back up role, kupchak actually seems to have a clue (assuming he doesn't do this artest thing)

Good point, if not bought out Fisher will simply swap minutes with Farmar.
Do Farmars ears give him an air pocket uplift when he runs and jumps?

The fisher signing was a perscient (right word?) signing by the lakers not only on the court since he's a guy who didn't have to learn the triangle but it placated kobe as well, and maybe they had to give him one extra year, but they were confident that farmar or (at the time) crittenton would get it by then and be ready to step in...

God I hate knowing this much about the lakers

I guess I need a "tard" font to get through to you!  Re-read the article if you don't get it.

Finley - Starter, team leading scorer and all-star
Barrdog - Starter, double digit scorer most of his carreer but he's a 1/2 combo not a 3.
Harper - Starter, team leading scorer borderline all-star
Ellie - Elie seems to be the exception to the rule.
Bob Horry - 6'10" HELLO!

Posey averaged double digits in only two or three season, only Elie is comperable, try again.  READ THE ARTICLE!

Do tell Your Tardence,
just who were the other Spurs starters?

2007 Champion Spurs
Finley
Barry
_____
_____
_____

I've got Timmy Dunks, Fabs, Bowen Parker.
Yet you claim Barrdog and Finley started.
Jomal launch another fart to counteract the lame one WoW just attempted.
Plus it's who finishes, not neccessarily who starts.
Most all of the examples they played similiar minutes to Posey.

2005 Champion Spurs playoff starters
Timmy Dunks
Naz Mohammed
Tony Parker
Bowen
GNob

You been owned.  Not just owned, butt owned.

Reality, I didn't know that was your team choice, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Did people over value that white guy on the bulls in the 80s as much as posery and horry?
