Lute Olson makes a stand
« on: July 11, 2008, 08:28:23 PM »
lute olson will no longe recruit 'one and done' players (though I'm not sure how he knows for sure who is and isn't a one and done player...interesting stand to make for a 'top tier' program since the best available recruits are going to be one and done, and the alumni and the school doesn't care how you get it done, they just care if you win.

Then again, isn't lute olson on the down side of his career at UA?

That is quite a statement don't you agree?  If the player is good and the cash register starts ringing I think they will go regardless.

If Olson had any credibility or cache left, I'd think it's quite a statement, but I think Arizona has become a second tier NCAA team recently and there's all this back biting about Olson being on his way out in Arizona...when Roy Williams or Krzyzewski or Howland join him - then i'll start listening,
