Figured a thread for various news/notes rumors including

Jamison agrees with the wiz
calderon says he's re-signed with the raptors
rumor is the warriors called up arenas and offered him a max deal shortly after free agency started

That makes absolutely no sense unless we somehow irrationally decided to rade away Thad or Iguodala.

Or decide to use Thad as a 30 minute 6th man.

The Warriors offered Gilbert a max deal?  I guess they regret letting go of him in the first place.

Is Gilbert as good as baron for the warriors?  I mean he's younger, but won't that totally screw monta ellis (who i love, but know the sixers don't need him) if they add arenas?

Sometimes I think teams try to make a splash to make a splash without thinking it through or paying attention to the team make up or injury history

It's not like they really had a choice.  They were powerless to match the Wizards offer.

Exactly. This is a case of some revenge being served up. Since Jamison signed for a lot less than he made last year and Arenas might be gone... could the Wizards become players in the free agent market???

If the warriors are offering this deal out of revenge, they are idiots.

If arenas is to be believed, he's not leaving Washington and even with davis opting out the warriors have a lot of their own issues to deal with

And the plot thickens...

Barnd was quoted as saying he wanted to see the Clips add a good FA pg like Beano- although no doubt he would like Baron.
