The Happening by M Night Shamalhalaldlan.  I loved The Village but am gonna pass on this one.
The Visitor looks like it has potential.

Directed by Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys, the documentary follows eight of the country's premiere high school basketball players as they play on the worlds most famous outdoor court: Rucker Park in Harlem--a place where nicknames are branded and legends are made. Blending this next generation of b-ball players with a mix of raw hip-hop, jazz and break beats gives a kinetic look at soon-to-be NBA All Stars.

Oh.  Now that I've seen the trailer, meh.  No defense, bunch of street ball and heavy ebonics, more or less like the And 1 schtick.  Some great physical talent.
It was trippy seeing brief footage of Dr J as a mid teenager.  Looks like 15-16.
If anyone ends up seeing this please review.

The happening is a piece of crap IMO.  Someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get "M" on the phone and let him know that he needs to not try to stick to the same formula's each time.   Once you realize what the movie is really about it gets really bad.  Unless of course your a hippy......but I won't go into detail about that comment.

Saw Iron Man.  Thought it was great.  Can't wait for Avengers, but pissed that we're going to have to wait 3 years.

A person who saw an advance showing of WALL-E said Pixar nailed it.

Pixar always nails it - aint it cool has some great comments (but no reviews, embargo on the reviews) up...some  calling it the best sci fi film of their life time...i might actually go to a theater.

I have no problem waiting for avengers as marvel has the pipeline nice and full just don't screw it up.

very disappointed in WALLE.
1st half hour was great, figured we were on our way to another Pixar classic.

Middle part put me to sleep.  Also no way kids can keep up with this one like the other Pixars.

Took my boys to WALL-E yesterday; they are 5 and almost 3 . . . they loved it. And they were able to relay the storyline to their mom quite accurately, although the younger one missed a few details. He is after all still technically 2 years old . . .

I loved the pure creativity and imagination behind the whole story. The love story was so poignant that I almost forgot the two protagonists were artificial beings. Smart social commentary, smart science fiction, fairly tight plot, stunning visuals and very clever humor in nearly perfect measure. WALL-E, IMO, is a great piece of art.

Ted could your kid(s), and you for that matter you possibly relate the gooey WALLE humans of 700 years from now to Ostertag?

Saw "Wanted" Friday night.

It will inevitably draw comparisons to "The Matrix" for its numerous special effects and style, but the story wasn't nearly as complex.  Still, it was a lot of fun.  A popcorn movie.

I've read the comic by Mark Millar and JG Jones and it is awesome - better than the movie.  Millar relied heavily on symbolism and analogy to create the comic, and the movie is lacking in those areas.  The story, naturally, is also slightly different.  Instead of the movie's Guild of Assassins, the comic is focused around a society of super-villains, known as the Fraternity.  And if you look closely, each of the characters in the book is based on a DC Comics villain.

Anyway, the movie is good, and if you want to see lots of stuff blow up and excessive amounts of violence, then by all means this is the film for you.

A movie references 2001: A Space Oddyssey thus it is as boring as 2001: A Space Oddysey. Vintage Reality . . .
