Only 5 of the 16 teams in the 1st round, less than a third, were able to protect home court.  OWNED!
That's nice since my op clearled stated the West only.

You're twisting on a scale as low as Randoph, koastie and Lurker.

If it's only the West then ONLY 3 of 8 teams were able to defend homecourt, one of the 3 had HCA.  You HAVE to know that, I don't think you are serious about defending your incorrect statement.  Like I said, one of the top seeds did NOT even have HCA so right off the bat you were wrong.  Twist on, you cannot defend your original comment.

Reality is an idiot -- shown by his desire to try and defend the "homecourt" comment.

Homecourt has been a much bigger factor in the 2nd round than it was the first (at least in the West) -- IMO, this is because of how close these teams are in abilities!

Home records vs Rd
1Lakers 4-0  2-1 Rd
2New O 5-0  1-2 Rd
3Spurs  4-0  1-3 Rd
4Jazz  2-1    2-3 Rd

15-1 Home vs 6-9 road

But because the Jazz are **only** 3-1 at home, you are hoping this refutes my entire post that the #1-#4 seeds all advanced, thanks in large part to winning with at home with Home Court Advantage.

Ah, there was only 4 matchups in the West.  Therefore only 4 teams had HCA, playing 4 opponents who did not have home court.  Non Laker Math.
3 of the 4 HCAs advanced to Round 2.  Only Houston did not.

Well, in the West so far in '08, it's been won completely according to seed and Home Court.

Umm, even you don't seem to get it -- you statement is untrue and you keep trying to defend it!  It takes even your spin to a new level.

Exactly Randy.  Had he left off the "and Home Court" part of his comment he would be correct, since he didn't he is wrong.

Wrong.  My original post said "seed and home court".  Held true for Lakers, Hornets, Spurs and Jazz on the "seed" part.
Lurker pointed out that Houston had HCA vs the Jazz and lost.  While i was right that the seed held (#4 Jazz over #5 Houston), I was wrong the HCA part which Houston had, not the Jazz.  I acknowledged as such.  How much does that change the stats?

14-3 HCA vs 6-8 not.  Ohhh huge difference.  I'm "owned".

Reality here is a cool tip:

Next time you don't want to be held to saying something like seed AND home court try this nifty little trick  instead of just using plain ol
 AND use "AND/OR"

That way it makes sense to everyone else...

^^ I'd really like to know what the signifigance is of Houston not holding HCA while the #1-4 seeds all did overwhelmingly.  As you see correctly adding Houston only drops the HCA to 14-3 from 15-1.  Still an 90%+ at home win ratio.

Also, would you ask WoW, or rather get an answer from WoW on his quote "If it's only the West then ONLY 3 of 8 teams were able to defend homecourt,"  Just who were the 4 teams unable to defend home court advantage?  Since only 4 of the 8 had homecourt advantage!  Duh, 4 teams vs 4 teams means only the top 4 had HCA. :-*

WoW continues "one of the 3 had HCA."
?????

I think you all just like to argue with me.

Are you REALLY that dense?

I wrote: "If it's only the West then ONLY 3 of 8 teams were able to defend homecourt,"

You wrote: "Just who were the 4 teams unable to defend home court advantage?"

Those are TWO different things.  Home court is one thing, home court advantage is ANOTHER.  For example, the Sixers could have won their first round series against the Celtics if they could have defended home court because they won one on the road.

In round one the Suns, Nuggets, Mavricks and Rockets could NOT defend home court because they ALL lost at least one game on their home court.  The Rockets could not defend home court advantage.  TWO different things.

Just like "AND" vs "OR" would make a HUGE difference in your original post.

Well, in the West so far in '08, it's been won completely according to seed and Home Court.

...seed and Home Court.

...seed and Home Court.

NO!  The West has been won COMPLETELY by SEED, NOT home court advantage.

14-3 home court advantage and 15-1 seed advantage has meant nothing in the West.

Got it.

West seed with home court is now something like 30-3 in the playoffs.
Are you going to shut up now?
