Reality, I think most of the members here can agree that the "total sense" you are making - is usually in your own head.  When it comes forward it twists and turns into something totally different from what it was when it started.  Previous conversation is a good example.
On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. The lesson? The good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.

I'll write a Texas version, and other versions for other board members if neccessary.
Trust me, strategywise the version I wrote of is far superior and winning as compared to the  LOSING strategy Phx employed and the one you (seemingly) and someother boardies buy into.

I find it amusing, Reality, that you have LOVED the offensive strategy all year long (the one where Manu drives the ball into the lane and then dishes to the open player -- or the same thing but with Parker).  Now that the Spurs are down 0-2, it's no longer the players fault but it's all Pop's fault.  Pop is the coach -- it's up to him to make adjustments but the first adjustments he has to make is in getting two of his top three players (Manu and TD) to not look that they are already whipped.  You can't EVER look like a whipped boy out on the court -- Udoka at least came off the bench with some fire and looked like -- we are still better than this team.  With everything that TD and Manu have been through -- they should NEVER have that look on their face even IF they aren't the best team in the series.  It's just really unacceptable, IMO.

The Spurs need to quit waiting on Parker and Manu to drive the ball into the lane and then pass the ball out -- the Hornets are daring the Spurs to shoot from outside -- put some guys on the court who can make some outside shots and it will force the Hornets to move out more.

WoW what are you talking about?

Home court has only held up in round 2.  Did you not pay attention again?

Actually the Jazz did not have home court even though they were the higher seed...but then accuracy with facts was never a strong suit of yours.

Exactly.  Detriot and Houston lost opening games at home.

Yes the Jazz only went 2-1 at home.  I stand corrected. ::) :D
And Detroit is in the West Conf.  Because Gregory Popovich said so.

The POINT was about that the HIGHER seeded Houston Rockets i.e. the POINT of this thread.  Guess what their home record was...  ::)  I guess I should dumb down the point next time.

Utah was the higher seed at #4.  Houston had HCA as they had the better record at 55-54 wins.
Thanks FRAN*s.

Well, in the West so far in '08, it's been won completely according to seed and Home Court.

From the very begining your statement was WRONG.  First off:

Utah was the higher seed at #4.  Houston had HCA as they had the better record at 55-54 wins.
Thanks FRAN*s.

Right there that contradicts your "seed AND home court" comment.  The #4 seed did NOT get HC just like you stated, so right off the bat there is a problem with your original post.  Home court did NOT hold up in round one, just like I pointed out.  Only 5 of the 16 teams in the 1st round, less than a third, were able to protect home court.  THAT WAS MY ENTIRE POINT, YOUR COMMENTS ONLY APPLY TO THE 2ND ROUND.

OWNED!

Home records vs Rd
1Lakers 4-0  2-0  Rd
2New O 5-0  1-2 Rd
3Spurs  4-0  1-3 Rd
4Jazz  2-1    2-3 Rd
15-1 Home vs 6-8 road

But because the Jazz are **only** 2-1 at home, you are hoping this refutes my entire post that the #1-#4 seeds all advanced, thanks in large part to winning with at home with Home Court Advantage.
:D :D  Happy Hour at the Laker House!
