According to PHX D'Antoni is not going to get fired now....although 'inside' reports say he was/will be.
As for AJ getting fired, clearly he needed to be. He did not get across to his players how to be tough and execute in the playoffs. The loss to Miami was one thing but back to back loses to "rookie" playoff teams is unacceptable. You can't lose to an inexperienced Golden State squad and you certainly cannot lose to a Hornets team who's coach has more playoff experience then the entire roster combined. Both Byron Scott and Avery Johnson know what it takes to win a title as a player but only Scott was able to teach some of that to his squad. If you listened to the press conferences last night there was a clear difference between the two squads. You have the playoff rookie Chris Paul being calm and saying "we are not going to pop champagne, maybe coach will for winning the award, but we are not satisfied and we need to stay focused" Where on the other side you have Josh Howard inviting 5 players from the team to a club after a huge home loss to the Hornets.
