Normally, a team doesn't quit in a game until a superstar quits on his team.
If the team isn't together and isn't competing, blame it on the coach AND THE CAPTAINS.
And if the team captain is the one saying his team quit, you yank his captaincy from him - because HE ALLOWED IT. He's lost the respect of his teammates - or perhaps the respect FOR his teammates.
I'll admit - I've quit on games. Never as a captain. Never as a coach. But there've been games as a player where I looked at what was going on, and said, "It's all about the one or two players, and I've got no part in this. Why bother? They want to do it on their own; fine. Go ahead."
Denver seems to be all about Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson - especially Anthony. Small wonder the other players quit.
