One of the goals of the new Knick administration likely will be to get under the salary cap after 2009-2010 to have a crack at LeBron James. And the only way that would be possible is if they can deal Zach Randolph for shorter-term contracts. Randolph's contract runs to 2011, when he makes $17.8 million. If the Knicks trade Randolph and either Eddy Curry or Jamal Crawford for short-term deals, they can be under the cap and in the bidding for King James. As reported here yesterday, a new Web site was launched Wednesday - www.nycforlebron.com - taking donations for incentive gifts for James to become a Knick.

HHAHA...The Knicks front office couldn't close this deal if Lebron had to either pick them or never play basketball again.

Also on ESPN.com they are reporting that Jerry West might be interested in a front office position with the New York Knicks.
