Would a different coach help Phoenix?
« on: February 28, 2008, 05:54:14 PM »
Mike D Antoni is not a favorite of such basketball experts as Skander.

How would Phx's roster do with a differnt head coach?
Even if it's not currently possible for them to join Phx.

Pat Riley?
Larry Brown?
Zenny Phil?
Rick Carlisle?

Pat Riley? Might work them too hard.  I can't really say.  He does know how to coach a run and gun team but I think he is too demanding on this era's wussy basketball players who don't want to work hard.

Larry Brown? They MIGHT actually play some defense.

Popavich?  Tough one.  He wouldn't be able to utilize their offensive weapons quite as well as D'Antoni but he would still be able to blend decent offense with tough work on the defensive end.

Phil Jackson?  I don't think the triangle offense fits this team at all but most of all would pretty much limit how awesome of a passer/creator Nash is.

Easy, Nellie at GS.  He is a mastermind of exploiting mismatches as well as gimmicky defenses.
