It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave.  Keep on thinking free.

It's a tie:

Shawshank Redemption

Simply a great movie. I prefer the TNT version though, I'm not big on da "prison love" scenes

Mississippi Burning

Gene Hackman opens a can of whoop-ass in this movie; some of the most satisfying violence scenes ever. Is it bad to find some violence satisfying?

Honorable Mention:

The Unforgiven . . . "Deserve's got nothin' ta do with it." Best western line ever!
"You take him Perk!" ~Kevin Garnett

"I think the responsibility the Democrats have may rest more in resisting any efforts by Republicans in the Congress or by me when I was President to put some standards in and tighten up a little bit on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac." ~Bill Clinton

A third-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the majority. A second-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the minority. A first-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking.

A quotation is a handy thing to have about, saving one the trouble of thinking for oneself.

Holy Grail.

Special nominee: Favorite "So bad it's good" movie, The Terror of Tiny Town.  It's an all midget Western/Musical.

Oh man! I gotta add Dr. Strangelove!

"Gentleman!! You can't fight in here! This is the War Room!!"

Kubrick hit a home run virtually every time, though I admit I haven't seen "Eyes Wide Shut" and probably won't.

On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. The lesson? The good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.

Bunch a queers-

The Godfather I and II
"We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty.....We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason.....We are not descended from fearful men, not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes that were for the moment unpopular....We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home."

JoMal: agree completely.  Not only was it about a great subject matter, not only was the story fascinating and well told (for the first two), but it had one of the absolute best casts ever all at the peak of their game.  I think Godfather two might be De Niro's and Pacino's best performances, ever, in the same movie.

also love a few comedy's, meet the parents, something about mary and office space.  But the two godfather's would have to be my favorite.

I'll show my age here, Jeremiah Johnson and the Sting. I'm sure I'll think of other but those 2 always top my list. Outlaw Josie Wales is right up there as well. any western with Sam Shepherd, The Sacketts series was really good.
