They're just not getting it done. Caught the 9th inning, Phils get two quick outs. Get two men on base, and Ryan Howard strikes out not swinging on a clear strike.
The same thing that has plagued them all season is still there. Pitching isn't where it needs to be and hitters aren't making up the difference. This is why they're not an elite team. They have the best offense in baseball, but not enough pitching. Colorado is a good team as well.
Don't write them off, the Phillies can get hot just as quickly as they can get cold, but the playoffs don't last that long.
