Philadelphia Residents

Derek and Rick,

I've got a chance to take a class in Philadelphia on the week of November 12.  By chance will both of you guys be in town that week?  I'd really like to meet you two.  If you'll be around, I'll push ahead with the idea of going to that class.

Ugh.  Just found out I have a place to be that week.  I won't be coming to Philly after all.

Are any board Philidelphia residents attending any current Phils games?

Too bad, Joe, would have liked to attach a face to the name.

I haven't been to a Phils game all season, but I started floating the idea of going with some friends.  They aren't sports fans for the most part, and baseball is the slowest game.

The thing is, the Phillies are one of the most exciting teams in baseball- their pitching is unsteady at best, but they have one of the most potent offenses in the league.  You never know what your going to get, a blowout loss, a tight game, a seemingly lost game reversing the last inning.  It's actually worth going to see a game and the Ball park is a nice place to see one.

I have a partial season ticket plan.  I'm going tomorrow afternoon.
