But Norv is calling the plays this season.
Or you mean if he was not multitasking as HC and was soley the OC he would be calling great plays?

Sort of.

They have Norv so I'm sure there have been some great offensive play calls that threw a defense off, but all the other things a coach (motivate, discipline, inspire, encourage) has to do for a team aren't being done because Norv is just not Head Coach material.  Add to that his DC (Cottrell) is braindead from every account I've read and it's not a good mix.  Hire a HC, get a competent DC, make Norv your OC, and you'd have yourself an alright team.

Norv is not good at either.

Norv. Is. Good. At. Calling. Plays.  Thats it!

Make him your OC and he'll do a wonderful job, make him your head coach and voila . . . its the same with Martz.

What?!?!

Dude, read my previous post.

Week 5
Indianapolis
Gruden scared me off.  When has a team going right, they are good.  Rayders, Tampa Bay SuperBowl year.  I think he may have them on the right track this year and Garcia is playing great.  Of course Indys precision passing game may take care of that, but enough to have me choose Tenn.

Week 6
I'm taking JVille at home.  Counting on David Garrard to keep up his ball control high pass % no turnover quarterbacking and Fred Taylor and rushers to also hold on and move the ball.  JVille wins time of possession and game.

Balti hosting St Luis
It was very tempting to take Balti over 0-5 St Luis.  But with Gus Ferrotte looking okay last week, well a lot better then injured Bulger had and St Luis O line finally giving some time, along with Baltis O being suspect and bailed out by the D, I'm not willing to roll the dice both streaks will continue.

Just noticed the Sunday night game, Seattle hosting New Orleans.  I'll stick with JVille.

Week 7
Seattle.

Laid an egg last week, would not expect an at home egg2.
Esp vs St Louis, in turmoil.  Bulger going to get shot up and play with 2 broken ribs.

Folks,

In addition, if you're game, you can join Pro Football Pick'Em league I've set up as well.

League ID#:  58714
Name:  PhillyArena
Password:  PhillyArena

In this league, you pick *ALL* the games - need to get your first week's picks in by Thursday Sep 6, 7:25 PM (I assume CDT) on this one.
Looks like you guys have a good race going on there.  Too bad lurker and jn had absentee weeks or it would be a 4 man race.

Joe, what did you make it to a couple years ago?  12-0?
