LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know they are not as legit as Bosh, Kobe, Dirk, Amare or Wade going to SA but we don't all have your insight into the NBA.

Bynum also becomes restricted FA next summer and all that coupled with the albatross contract of Kwame Brown and Radman makes things difficult.
I'd be all over SuperByns and have him in a Spurs uniform for the start of the 2008-9 season.  But....

I've got SuperByns are being signed by the Lakers thru '08-09.  That is a team option year, not Byns option.
Byns option is not until '09-10.

Now if McHale is stupid enough to accept Odom-Turiaf, Odom-Brown, or even Odom-Walton, I say go for it.
Yeah I'm sure McHale is stupid enough to do that trade.
Keep it down tho.  W.O.W. is sleeping and the other Lakers are up on the mountain with lurker.

WOW are you getting ready to switch your undies to Spursville?
I've been waiting for this moment.
I'll spell out the path to Spurs titledom for you.  But it won't include Bosh, Dirk, Amare or Wade.  Whether Kobe gets discouraged with being a .500 career player sans Shaq and moves it over to SA remains to be seen.  But his contract would prohibit that for now.

I guess you've forgotten about all the "legitimate trade scenarios" involving the Spurs and the NBA elite.

No it means once their contract expires the team does not have to pay them anymore.

Man, am I ever going to root for an Eastern team to win the title this season.

That's a really good reference for salaries, makes me want to do the most cost-effective team analysis.  .....ah heck..here goes:

A simple Dollars/Wins ratio in descending order for 06-07 Season:
(in millions)

Phoenix: 1.13
Chicago: 1.14
Detroit:1.14
San Antonio: 1.15
Toronto: 1.19
Charlotte: 1.29
Houston: 1.29
Utah: 1.30
Cleveland: 1.33
Dallas: 1.42
New Orleans: 1.50
LA Clippers: 1.52
Miami: 1.55
Denver: 1.58
Washington: 1.60
Atlanta: 1.66
Orlando: 1.66
Golden State: 1.71
New Jersey: 1.74
Seattle: 1.84
LA Lakers: 1.94
Sacramento: 1.99
Indiana: 2.01
Minnesota: 2.05
Portland: 2.38
Milwaukee: 2.48
Philadelphia: 2.68
Boston: 2.71
Memphis: 3.25
New York: 4.36

Any surprises?  What do you think guys?

That's interesting.

I'm suprised the gap between Dallas and PHX is so high.    Makes alot of sense though if you look at what these teams are doing this season.  NY and Memphis I assumed would be at the bottom.
