Just saw that the Spurs traded for somebody I have no clue about.  hooray? ???

Hey man!  Good timing.  I was just thinking about putting up a post asking if you were still alive.

Lap Band? Sounds like a surgery for injuries suffered at a strip club.   ;)

SPURSX3!!!!!!!!!!

It is SO good to key that handle in...I am back, and am glad to see that you are too.

Rather than pound you with everything that has happened to me in the interim period since I last regularly posted bqck in 2002, I will just tell you that it is very, very cool to once again get in touch with all of the old gang.  Where did SPURS101 go, btw?  He was a good fren' o'mine, you know!!

Hey Spurs, Spurs, Spurs....good to see another resurrection on the board (RB being the first).  Hopefully our boys in Silver & Black can become resurrected once the "real" season begins.  God I am starting to sound like a Laker fan circa 2002.   :o

Hope we will see you a little bit more consistently.  Good luck with the recovery.

HAY!!

Man where the heck have you been!  There was times when we needed your input on all things Spurs and video games/movies!

Glad to hear the surgery went well.  Even better to see that you may become a full time poster again.

Greetings,

Don't think you were not missed Xs3.  I recently dusted off a Dokken cd and it reminded me of you saying how you wore the tape out in da late eighties.  "I'm the hunter......."  C'mon over to the other side and rap tunes with us.  Had no idea other boardies liked some of the obsure progressive rockers of the 70s.  Its great!

Much good news to report here.  In addition to being a music affectionado, Rolando has become a Spurs liker and he now uncomplainingly calls Kobe Kobme. ;)

Dokken!

Hey, X3 and Reality!

Reality, as I was posting on another thread (you know the one) in this group, I was trying to dredge up the other group from the '80s I really loved - it was Dokken!  George Lynch (guitarist) is one of my favorite fret-burners.

That album (I can't believe how archaic that word sounds, now - I have to stop using it) that starts off with 'Kiss of Death' rips - I haven't listened to it in eons! Now, I will have to go upstairs to my sound room and burnish my George Lynch-sourced licks.

Once again, great to have you back, X3!!!

P.S. - X3, I cannot definitively state that I am a Spurs 'fan', as Reality intimates - I just like them better than any other NBA team at present.  And yes, I truly detest 'Kobme' with every fiber of my being - he is the embodiment of everything wrong with the team (notice I no longer say 'Our Heroes') now, IMO...snif

P.P.S. - X3, did you ever see ZZ Top (that lil' ol' band from Texas) in concert?  Just curious.

Nope, sorry RB.  Never saw ZZ Top in concert.

As for the Spurs...well I am a little disappointed in them right now.  Somebody give them some Cialis [sp?] cus it looks like they can't seem to get excited anymore...atleast for games that is lol.  The news said that this Ely person we traded for is "..there to help Fabricio in the middle.."  I was like "Fabs needs help?"   ::)

No, Fabs has some ugly game going on.  Personally I would have hoped the Spurs would have gone for MAggette a while back, we need the energy on our squad.  Nope things just don't look promising for us this season.  I really hope Lurker is right and we CAN turn it around in the playoffs.  By the way, I have found myself saying that, "The REAL season" thing lately, only to hang my head in shame as it reminds me of our Laker lving freinds too.  ;D

As for Spurs101  I just emailed him, I will ask him to return to post again if he can.

Hi, SpurX3. Certainly has been a long time.

Just what have you been up to, other then doing the necessary workouts to require Lap Band surgery?

Personally, because of the Kings situation, I have been reduced to just randomly attacking Kobe Bryant and the Lakers on occasion, just to keep things interesting.
