Did the Spurs run last night
« on: March 10, 2004, 10:32:35 AM »
Break the news to me easy Spurs.

I didnt see live, didnt tape.

What i see from the stats are:
  • Parker 4-6 treys
  • Turkey 4-5 treys
  • Horry 2-3 treys
  • team 10-17 treys
  • 31 points in 3rd qtr thus leading by 6 going into 4th
This all leads me to believe the Spursies were indeed running and needed to run all 4th qtr to secure the win.

At this point, did Zit step in and order them to run the set play plodding offense?

Reasons i ask?
21 points in 4th qtr.  Well under 100 pts for only the 2nd game in 6 games.  Rasho going 41 minutes while TRex sits -again.  Major turnovers in the 4th qtr.  Outscored 31-21 to lose by 6.

Did Memph kick arse or did Zit order them to veg?
He was critical once again, saying "We did not want the game as much as Memphis."

p.s. what the heck was up with GNOB?

Didn't see all the guy, but towards the end, the Spurs offense looked lost. They weren't running set plays, they were winging it it seemed. And the Griz defense stepped up HUGE, they were swarming and really through the Spurs off. Spurs had a chance in the end, alas, careless turnovers killed them.

WRONG!

It was either the Refs, bad coaching or the players coaching.  I think Deniality is leaning towards bad coaching.

weak....

28 FTs in the 4th qtr.

Denial.

And since you are resorting to a forklift instead of juicing, this may be an alternative for you:

Kyo-Green is made by a Japanese company named Wakunaga.  The owner is known for being hard core on quality control.  Its made of a natural combination of wheat grasses, kelp, brown rice etc.
You could sweeten up the taste by addin a 1/2 teaspoon by another company called Greens+.  WWW.Greensplus.com

Neither one is as sugary as a Fuzzy Navel drink with Dereek and Boi George come playofftime.  However me and friends have tried the green stuff and find it an ok alternative.  But we use it only when we cant juice.

Spurs biggest problem last night was turnovers.  They had 10 in the first quarter alone.  However the biggest came with 30 seconds left in the game.  Memphis up by two and with the ball, shot goes up, Malik battles to get the rebound....and promptly throws it to the scorer's table.  Intentional foul & quick shots by Spurs lead to final 6 pt margin.

Memphis played a swarming defense all night and looked a step quicker than the Spurs for most of the game.   Officials were allowing a very physical game...basically calling only the most intentional fouls.  Or ones that involved shots around the head & shoulders.  Even Sean Elliott commented on how the officials were ignoring flops and telling the players (by their whistles) that if they planned on driving to the hoop they needed to take it strong.  Weak drives were not going to be rewarded.

Spurs end up 1-3 vs Memphis.  However Duncan only played 7 minutes total in the three losses....all close games.  One game Duncan plays the Spurs win by 10+.
It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave.  Keep on thinking free.

Lurker,

yes i noticed they battled back a couple times in the 4th.  Props to Spurs for that.
Maybe Turkey and Parker should have taken 10 treys each. :P

Yes i read the Malik final turnover in the play by play.  Was he trying to throw before he had it or what?

Why does Zit sit KWillis.  No way Rasha could have been full speed (lol) for 41 minutes.  Otherwise props to Rash since TDunker has been out.

Laker win = marketing juggernaut

Spurs Loss = Pop's fault

Hey Koast have you gotten Ted over to your couch and watched on Tivo the ejection T on Shraq yet?  I'm sure you'll be seeing it again as Phildo is alleged to be receiving a one game suspension over his "we're predjudiced against" comments

when you have your second cups of coffee, excuse me Fuzzy Navels you'll realize that Randy came up with a much easier numerical system eons ago.

And now....heeeeeerrrs Randy!

p.s.
28 FTs in a 4th qtr playoff game = just normal calls to Krishnas.
elbows to faces of Mike Bibby = his chin got in the way.
6 seconds= fair keyhole times -if you're our marketing blob.
etc

Deniality....I already saw the game and I do not believe he deserved to be thrown out of the game.  I agree with what Ted said in his Jazz/Lakers post.

TiVO or not you cannot watch the Lakers and speak objectively.  So whats the point?

Webber dribbles ball of own foot out of bounds = Kings ball.
Webber sets illegal moving screen on Fisher = Kings bucket.
Bibby hits Kobe in the eye on a game winning shot = No call.

We could go on and on, I thought we knew there's always a good counterpoint regardless of who starts crying first.  I guess you need to be "learned".

LOL! Who keeps brining it up?

I gave my comments about the Jazz game but you're the only one who can't seem to comprehend them.  You should apply for your "blindness" disabilty benefits, maybe you could get a check from the gov every month.

Thanks for the input on the threads subject Grizz-Spurs game.  Lurker gave his usual solid input before you "Mugatos" aka Lakers got hissy and jumped in.

The 28 Fts in the 4th qtr always sends em runnin.  Or using "circumvent logic".

However, health professionals, use this carefully on your Laker.
For some their whole world foundation is that of marketing make believe.  Too much light of truth at once can be dangerous.  If they run for the hills, the restroom, hands over ears in trauma, let them go!  Be gentle.  More on this later.
