Teaching the world about democracy

Gotta love The Daily Show.

They had Mr. Vaughener(sic?) on as a guest.  He was cracking me up.

He said we need to teach democracy in Iraq, or the middle east, the USA is a great example.  After a few hunder years you free your slaves.  A few hundred years later you allow women to vote, along the way you practice a little genocide and ethnic cleansing.

LMAO!  Yup, that's definately the way to build a Super Power!
"History shouldn't be a mystery"
"Our story is real history"
"Not his story"

"My people's culture was strong, it was pure"
"And if not for that white greed"
"It would've endured"

"Laker hate causes blindness"

It's good to have a sense of humour about all this.

I just can't understand why we're in the minority on this issue.  Even with the snowstrom from the press and the government, people should realize that things are NOT going well for them.

I guess it's too hard for some people to take the time to be informed.  It's a bad mistake for people to be so trusting of their leaders that they don't check up on them from time to time.

Yes, but to correct WOW's, um, spelling a bit so people actually know who was the guess on the show, it was auther Kurt Vonnegut, who happens to be one of the better brains the U.S. has ever produced who became a reputable writer. He is legendary.

They alluded to his Liberal List of things he does not want to ever hear spoken out loud again, but Stewart said they would have to put it on the Daily Show web page due to lack of time on the show. Here is the list.

LIBERAL CRAP I NEVER WANT TO HEAR AGAIN

Give us this day our daily bread. Oh sure.

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Nobody better trespass against me. I'll tell you that.

Blessed are the meek.

Blessed are the merciful. You mean we can't use torture?

Blessed are the peacemakers. Jane Fonda?

Love your enemies. Arabs?

Ye cannot serve God and Mammon. The hell I can't! Look at the Reverand Pat Robertson. And he is as happy as a pig in sh*t.

"We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty.....We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason.....We are not descended from fearful men, not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes that were for the moment unpopular....We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home."
