On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. The lesson? The good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.

Atually, the story is quite disturbing.  There are so many things wrong with that story I don't know where to begin.
"History shouldn't be a mystery"
"Our story is real history"
"Not his story"

"My people's culture was strong, it was pure"
"And if not for that white greed"
"It would've endured"

"Laker hate causes blindness"

I was speaking mostly of the fact that atleast one child has a mother after all of this.

the refugee situation is imense WOW, the way things are at the shelter is pretty insane, and this is considering this is one of the better shelters these people could go to.  I was thinking about seeing if i could go help out over there today, gotta check with the boss and see if that's ok or not.

The mother daughter situation along with the day care is what's wrong with the story.  Something wrong there if you take a second look.

On another note, my company has setup two funds for disaster relief.  One for employee's who were affected and one for general relief.  The nice thing is they are matching TWO dollars for every ONE dollar donated with NO cap.  A really nice gesture.  Initially it was one for one with a 5K cap, but now that the magnitude of the disaster is being quantified the efforts need to be stepped up.

you mean the fact that the little girl was not excited?  I caught that, but she is 4, who knows if she even understands the gravity of the whole thing, she could be ok with the rest of the children there, who knows.  IMO CPS should be getting of their no good arses and help out down there, the CPS office in San Antonio has been a disgrace in the past couple of years, they should show they are ready to change by being first to step up and get help for the kids in the shelters.  as for not having enough volunteers, i thought about that, which is why i figured on asking about going, I also dont know what else these people have to do there or how much head count of volunteers they have, they could be spread thin, cant say for sure.

My office is doing a one for one match but the total has to reach $4000 at least.  I'm glad to hear that relief is coming in many forms from all over the country.
