Big night for Troy Hudson as he hits for 29, including 12 in the fourth quarter to put the game away.  Cassell did not play and the report is he has some tendinitis in his ankle.

Did I mention how great Olowakandi is?  He owned the boards in the 2nd half and blocked some shots.

Michael I don't know why all these haters get after you!  I've had your back all along big fella!

Props to Wolves for putting a Midwest hurtin on a div leader.
If Candy can simply contnue to rebound and D they have indeed added a huge component.  If he does add some O then lookout.

They shut down Kidd, or did they?  Dude goes 5-20 shooting but still almost has a triple double.  He finds a way.

Ummn jn the Nets shot 3 freethrows thru 45+ minutes of gametime.  After that the total zoomed up 2 more leaving a game total of 5.  I didn't see the game but where the Wolfies shadowing them that well?  I hope there was only one "inadvertant whistle" last night.

Candy is lazy, and who only plays when he wants to.  I wouldn't put much stock in his game, especially during a 7 game series.  Still, even w/o Olowokandyass,  the T-Wolves still have a potent lineup. Maybe, the most dangerous one in the league.

Still, it looks like this just might be the year.  The year for the T-Wolves to get eliminated in the SECOND ROUND.

This was not a real physical matchup.  I think there were some calls that coulda/shoulda gone the Nets way,  but they weren't calling a ton on the other end either.  Some of the Wolves free throws can be attributed to the Nets adopting a Hack-a-Kandi strategy at the end.

Don't let the numbers fool you. Kidd didn't play all that well last night.  The first half of this game was just plain terrible.  Kidd got his boards because the Wolves were chucking up bricks, shooting less than 40% for the half.  Kidd also completely missed his target on several passes.   He did get some nice steals in the first half but he couldn't get the job done in crunch time.

So whats your take on the Nets?  I realize that question is hard to base on one game, but since its the first game they played against a real team during their streak, would you just say off night or are they just the same old EConf fodder?

They host the Flamers on Sun then are at Denver right after that.  Maybe we should just wait to answer untill those games have been played.

The Pacers are the REAL DEAL, they STOLE a Spurs defensive specialist in Asst Coach Mike Brown; they are much improved in that category.  Indy will be a formidable opponent to the Spurs this year in the WCFs.

That's going to be a neat trick, the Pacers playing San Antonio in the Western Conference Finals, seeing as the Pacers are an Eastern Conference team. I see The Texas school systems geography class is still up to its usual standard.

Not to mention the question was asked regarding the Nets.  It's not just Texass geography class standards that are shinning thru.
