The US supreme court overulled the Illinois Supreme court in a 6-2 vote ruling that Police dogs sniffing vehicles during lawfull traffic stops required reasonable suspicion of wrongdoing.
Basically, if you get pulled over by an officer for any type of offence and Fido smells something funny, you could get busted for that roach in your ashtray.
