Dabods I got a few questions can ya help me out?
« on: December 08, 2004, 01:39:16 PM »
I'm working on a hip hop website with a few others and was curious about Invision Power Board.  I really like our forums here and wanted to know if you have to pay per month for the board or if it was a one time fee for the code/software.

Also if you know off the top of your head, how much does the main forum eat up in terms of bw?

Thanks in advance!

Doesn't cost anything a month.  No one time fee.

It's free.

Alright, technically, here's the pricing structure:
Yearly license     $69.95
Lifetime license    $199.00

But the version I'm running is one of IPB's "Trial" version.  Before, the trial version was fully functional, and the only reason to upgrade was support.

Now, they've released an updated trial, which supposedly caps the message board at 5000 posts, 1000 topics, or 200 members, whichever you hit first.

If you want the "trial" version I'm using (which, again, is fully functional with no limits):

I'm not sure how much bandwidth it uses, I can check when I get home.

Also, if you need hosting for your site, let me know.

I can give you a link, but it would be pointless, I'd modify the price for you.
