This is different than what we have done the last couple of years, and I think we need to reevaluate it.
Presently it is set at 1 day, which in my opinion is not enough time to allow the waiver process to work correctly. If I drop a player today they become a FA tomorrow, which will limit the ability of players to make moves.
For example, I can place a player on waivers at 11:58 pm, and pick up another player for tomorrow. At 12:00 I can then drop the player I just picked up, and add the player I just dropped 2 minutes prior.
Also if a player is dropped at 11:58, but then the first player into the system each day will get first choice of all waived players. There is a strategy to using waivers, and that has been effectively eliminated by having just one day for waivers.
I am OK with 2 days, that gets players back into circulation faster, but it eliminates the ability to make move designed to circumvent the rest of the league. If you drop a player you shouldn't be able to get the first shot at that player, you should have to wait and allow everybody else the opportunity to pick them up. That is what waivers are for.
