Bruce Bowen opts out of contract
« on: June 14, 2004, 02:30:26 PM »
In a calculated move, Spurs defensive specialist Bruce Bowen has opted out of his contract, acording to a report which will appear in Saturday's San Antonio Express-News.

The move makes Bowen an unrestricted free agent while also giving the Spurs added financial flexibility to shape their roster this summer- especially where it concerns a possible attempt to sign Kobe Bryant- who is also expected to opt out of his contract with the Lakers.

"After the season Bruce had and the great recognition he received for being first-team All-Defense, this is probably a nice opportunity for him," Spurs' General Manager R.C.Buford told Johnny Ludden of the San Antonio paper.

intersting, bruce gets a contract extension and raise, and spurs get some money to play with to go after a kobe, or even a stephen jackson, and still sign bruce back....interesting....
On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. The lesson? The good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.
